“Baby, you were born this way.” As soon as Lady Gaga sang these words on her smash hit "Born This Way," they became a rallying cry for gay people around the world, an anthem for sexual minorities facing discrimination. The shiny, catchy song carries an empowering (if simple) message: Don’t be ashamed about being gay, or bi, or trans, or anything—that’s just how you were born. Gaga later named her anti-bullying charity after the same truism, and two filmmakers borrowed it for their documentary exposing homophobia in Africa. A popular "Born This Way" blog encourages users to submit reflections on “their innate LGBTQ selves.” Need a quick, pithy riposte against anti-gay bigotry? Baby, we were born this way.
But were we? That’s the foundational question behind the gay rights movement—and its opponents. If gay people were truly born that way, the old canard of homosexuality as a “lifestyle choice” (or “sexual preference”) is immediately disproven. But if gay people weren’t born that way, if scientists were unable to find any biological basis for sexual orientation, then the Family Research Council crowd could claim vindication in its fight to label homosexuality unnatural, harmful, and against nature.
In recent years, scientists have proposed various speculative biological bases for homosexuality but never settled on an answer. As researchers draw closer to uncovering an explanation, however, a new question has arisen: What if in some cases sexuality is caused by an identifiable chemical process in the womb?SNIP
That is one implication of one of the most widely accepted hypotheses thus far proposed. And if it’s true, it could turn out to be a blow for the gay rights movement.

One thing we know about homosexuality is that their selection is not biological. Because any trip down that lane is a genetic dead end as homosexuals do not pass their genes to their children.

the identical twin studies prove it is not simply and only a biological basis. If it were both twins would be gay 100% of the time. They are not.

Only evil people will abort their children for their sexual preference. So I honestly doubt a gay gene would do squat, but get a lot of non gays aborted.

From the little I’ve read, hermaphrodites usually have a dominant male or female biological system, and in adulthood, their sexual desires match that.
About 20 years ago I read a paper where the researchers exposed pregnant rats to marijuana smoke.
Many of the male offspring showed no sexual interest in females, only in males.
If this worked the same way in humans,it would explain a lot of what we see.
NOT QUITE. Feelings are irrelevant as regards actions and culpability is ONLY relevant when judging responsibility for an action and NOT the action itself.
Free will involves choice, choice to engage in homosexual activities or choice NOT to engage in homosexual activities. REGARDLESS and basis for feeling whatever.
This lunacy about being 'gay' is premised upon the same lunacy as hate crimes that is premised upon judging an objective action subjectively because of what one can guess the actor THINKS or says they think..
If a Scientist finds genetic link for cannibalism, rape and murder will we make cannibals, rapists and murders a legally protected class? If we find a biological influence to commit genocide will genocidal murders be given special status and allowed to marry? If ethics are arbitrary then anything goes and nothing is out of the question.

The promotion of homosexuality as a tactic to destroy the home and family unit was part of the communist strategy for the US about 100 years ago.......
The liberals of course, have embraced 90% of what used to be communist agenda, claiming a perverted moral high ground that condemns normalcy and morality.
The government educational system has propogandized 3 generations of voters who now have voted for the destruction of our nation, morals and religion.
