At a press conference today, he wasnt sure if bloggers deserved First Amendment protections:
Who is a journalist is a question we need to ask ourselves, he said. Is any blogger out there saying anythingdo they deserve First Amendment protection? These are the issues of our times.
SNIP
A few candidates names have been brought up repeatedly, the most notable of which is Rep. Trey Gowdy, from South Carolinas 4th district. Gowdy is well-known for being a conservative bulldog in the House and has highlighted his political skills recently during his grilling of Lois Lerner. In a fight between Gowdy and Graham, Gowdy might be a good bet.

Well.. Bloggers.. really?
I`m not sure if Lindsey is heterosexual .
in other words he hasn’t been paid enough yet
Wow. These guys are running our country.
If it doesn’t apply to bloggers, then it doesn’t apply to elected officials or special interest groups, or professional organizations, or to any Government entity or agency.
Either everyone has 1st Amendment protection or no one does. The whittling away of our Rights is going to stop one way or another. My sincere recommendation is that our Government stop on their own before the Citizens stop it for them.
The Second Amendment only applies to the militia, and by analogy, the First Amendment only applies to a comparable group. (In this case the media).
It's brilliant for them, because not only do they get away with suppressing speech they don't like, it makes their Second Amendment stronger.
"Those civil rights were only intended for a select group, i.e. the militia and the media.
First amendment doesn’t apply to anyone who isn’t a journalist.
Yet abortion is protected as a privacy right.
What bullcrap.
No, the new theory is the media has it, but not anyone else.
I’m not sure if Graham is human. Like any establishment animal.
Why is this man representing South Carolina? Isn’t this an impeachable offense? In the past, even the left has agreed with the First Amendment. If Graham is declaring war on it, can’t he be removed?
So Graham has now proved himself to be as much of a complete ignoramus as Dick Durban.
There is no such thing as THE PRESS in the sense that term is used by elitist Progressives today some sort of elite group whose members are allowed preferential treatment under law. In the Constitutional sense, the press is a technological device for disseminating information.
One cannot be a member of the press. One can only have access to a press.
Any device which enables one to state and publicize ones views is a press, whether it be moveable type, offset, TV, radio, or the Internet. We all have free access to the press, meaning we have the right to pay any provider who wishes to sell us access to publicize our ideas.
In this regard, no CBS anchor has anymore claim to special treatment for being part of the press than does any blogger.
Psssst! Linda! We all have first amendment rights. Second amendment too. Keep pushing; you’ll get a demonstration.
Graham is a growing disgrace.
Poor Lindsay. He’s just not very bright, is he?
You don’t have to be an “official journalist” to be protected by the First Amendment. Any speech by an American citizen (and usually, as a somewhat dubious extension, by a non-citizen) is protected by it.
Is that like some kinds rich bratty name?
Did his folks really want a girl?
Lindsey Graham at 12 years old.
Nuts to you, Linseed.
Come and get me lindsay graham. Am tired of the games!
