After Connecticut upped the anti ante, The Golden State Senate is doing its level best to reclaim its title as Americas number one slave state. To that end, The California Senate on Wednesday approved a package of seven gun control bills, including background checks for people who buy ammunition, introduced in response to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Well, the latimes.com would say that wouldnt they? Not to mention burying the big kahuna in the tenth paragraph. The Senate also approved a bill that would outlaw the sale, purchase and manufacture in California of semiautomatic rifles that can accept detachable magazines. SB 374 also would require those who own such weapons to register them with the state. Welcome back my friends to the nightmare that never ends. More details in the morning.

This has gone too far already, but this is getting to the point you wont be able to own a gun in CA. That (no private ownership of firearms in CA) is exactly what the fascists and communists in CA are after. That is their ultimate goal.
Lest anyone in other States think you can rest easy and thank your lucky stars that you don't live in commi-cal... Please recognize that CA has a way of exporting its insanity to the the rest of the Country, and that we all have would-be gun grabbers, fascists, communists etc. in our States pushing for exactly the same things.
Don't make the mistake of thinking power and control -mad evil was just a thing of the 20th century, and only happens in other places, other times and other Countries. It is here, now.

You realize the original rifle ban in California also included the Winchester 94, 30-30 don’t you?
They will be along for them soon.
Remember when the 5 shot bolt action rifle was the ultimate expression of evil to the anti-gunners? They will also be along for them too.

I dont think the mag ban applies to bolt action rifles.
The Remington 700 has a detachable magazine. The standard holds four, but is easily modified. The legislation is broad and would include the 30-06, 308, many other rifles and some shotguns. This is a very broad registration and confiscation Bill.

The damn legislation also bans rifles with tubular or fixed magazines which hold more than ten rounds.

Patently Unconstitutional. Agreed. Let's see how fast the lawsuits appear.

Commiefornya was once a great state. Only a miracle will turn it around. California patriots had better not be hoping for a miracle, because none are forthcoming.
About the only thing that can reverse their downward spiral, is if the state implodes, and the citizens demand an entirely new approach to governing, i.e., a conservative solution.

Libs do this when they don’t fear gun owners. Give them a reason to fear us and this will change. Overnight. There are many ways this can be done.

If you would venture outside CA once in a while, youd find out that most Democrats in a lot of the country are more conservative than the CalGOP, and the CalDonks are farther left than the old Soviet Duma.
I've ventured out plenty, and it doesn't matter how conservative you think your democrats are - they'll still vote for the Marxists and eventually will support every left-wing nutbag platform there is. But you go ahead and tell yourself whatever you need to to feel warm and snug at night.

That's the way the country was originally designed. The federal constitution was a limit on federal power ONLY. The states were limited by their own constitutions. Only after the Civil War (and the 14th Amendment, I believe) did the interpretation change so that the federal Bill of Rights became an excuse for feds to wield power over the States, or individuals. Think about it: do you think the Founders wanted the federal government to have the authority to dictate to every school in the nation whether or not they could say a prayer in assembly? Heck no. But that is how it is being twisted now. So might as well use that twisted interpretation against them.

Ayn Rand was right: if there are not enough criminals, the rotten commie government will just pass enough laws to create more of them - from the formerly law-abiding citizenry. When Moonbeam signs all of this crap, we will all be criminals.
Its all too clear what this is all about, especially when they ban the Ruger 10/22 as an "assault rifle". I don't think there has ever been a crime perpetrated with one of those; the bastids just want to disarm the entire population in order to build their tyrannical state in safety.

You are right, they are liberals for the most part and support the worst national candidates ever, but they are still more conservative than your last two Republican governors.
And your Democrats are the nuttiest lefties this side of North Korea.

Si, se puede! I bailed out at 59.
Of course, I bailed out to another socialist state, Hawaii. But you go where you feel you belong, and this is it. The firearms laws suck in many ways, but are still far freer than the hellhole Calif. has become. Being retired and knowing I am not paying into the welfare system helps my mental state.
Enough patriots here to recently defeat a slew of kneejerk liberal bills. The locals are surprisingly gun friendly, warrior stock that they are.

My Winchester lever action holds 21 long rifle shells Your Winchester, by your own admission, has a high capacity magazine. It will also soon be unlawful to possess in California (SB396 - Hancock).
