Hearing details:
WASHINGTON House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa today announced three witnesses who will appear at a full committee hearing, Benghazi: Exposing Failure and Recognizing Courage, on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 11:30 AM in 2154 Rayburn House Office Building.
I applaud these individuals for answering our call to testify in front of the Committee. They have critical information about what occurred before, during, and after the Benghazi terrorist attacks that differs on key points from what Administration officials including those on the Accountability Review Board have portrayed, said Issa. Our committee has been contacted by numerous other individuals who have direct knowledge of the Benghazi terrorist attack, but are not yet prepared to testify. In many cases their principal reticence of appearing in public is their concern of retaliation at the hands of their respective employers. While we may yet add additional witnesses, this panel will certainly answer some questions and leave us with many new ones.
Witnesses: Mr. Mark Thompson
Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism
US Department of State
Mr. Gregory Hicks
Foreign Service Officer and former Deputy Chief of Mission/Chargé dAffairs in Libya
US Department of State
Mr. Eric Nordstrom
Diplomatic Security Officer and former Regional Security Officer in Libya
US Department of State
In October 2012, the Oversight Committee held the first hearing on the Benghazi attacks, which exposed denials of security requests and forced the Administration to acknowledge that the attacks were not sparked by a protest of a YouTube video, contrary to claims made by Obama Administration officials.
*** NOTE: Press seating will be reserved, but limited. Please arrive early (hearing room will open to press at 10:30 AM) to guarantee a seat. An overflow area will be available. ***

Cameras in box at Benghazi but not installed.
Good to know that somebody is!
holy crap
Take down EVERYONE involved. No holds bar.
Cameras still left in the box in Benghazi, that could have been installed and set up....
Critical, high risk in Benghazi, ignored.
Do I have this straight:
1. Amb Rice, with her faux video story, impeded the FBI’s visit to the crime scene.
2. Hillary in her January testimony said Nordstrom had the authority to order more security . Today Nordstrom said only Hilary had that authority.
3. The ARB report was flawed because there was no stenographer or recording and the witnesses were not allowed to review their testimony for accuracy.
4. Hicks was not allowed to speak to Chaffetz when he visited, unless Hilary’s people were present. This is very unusual.
5. Hilary wanted a Benghazi consulate without concern for the security requirements.
Have I missed anything?
Note to democrats: If you see Trey Gowdy walk into the room, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!
1998-Clinton (D) was president.
2012-Obama (D) was president.
There’s a connection there...
Hahahaha. Not funny funny, but funny.
Hicks was demoted after he contradicted the State Dept.
Ah yes. Thanks.
I am reading every one of these posts and for you who can hear it and see it, well. thank youfor posting. Huge.
I could be wrong but I think Issa has posted access to video of hearings on his website before. ???
Here is the problem.
We still don’t know if this was a set up situation to make BO look good before an election.
Having an ambassador kidnapped and then negotiating a release before an election would have given BO the lift he should have needed if the election was not stolen anyway.
This was a game by the administration in order to create an event to make BO come out smelling like roses.
I hope someone there is leading toward this idea eventually.
If it can be shown that it was a game to garner support for BO, that would be IMPEACHABLE and it would drive BO out of office, in order to save his future income streams.
Mica is now kicking some a$$!!!!
Was not lack of accountability a mainstay of the Clinton Administration, a concomitant of Hillary’s power then? And isn’t that, in turn, a mark of an autocratic regime? And - think, hard! - are there any autocratic tendencies in the current regime?
I'll tell you what I think: Hillary Clinton ran the State Department like a social club committed to her. She did what was good for her and didn't give thought to those employees overseas. They were mostly out of sight and out of mind.
