Glenn Beck roused the National Rifle Association's annual convention this weekend with his attacks on New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, but he also aroused criticism by a major Jewish group for depicting the mayor giving what appears to be a a Nazi salute.
The head of the Anti-Defamation League called Becks' comments "deeply offensive on so many levels," and B'nai B'rith called for Beck to apologize.
"Glenn Beck, the keynote speaker at the NRA's annual convention, trivializes the Holocaust when he compares New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to Adolf Hitler," B'nai B'rith told ABC News.
"The casual use of Nazi imagery or words serves to undermine the atrocities of the Holocaust. Glenn Beck should apologize," the organization said.
Beck could not be reached for comment Monday night, but after ABC News' story was published today a source close to Beck said that the logo "was a joke based on a famous photo of [Russian communist Vladimir] Lenin" and was not a reference to Nazis. The photo shows Lenin in a similar pose.
On his radio show today, Beck said he wants an apology. "I would like to call for an apology now by the mainstream media, particularly ABC News, for smearing my name and saying that I am making Bloomberg look like a Nazi," he said.
Bloomberg, who has spearheaded a new effort to have wider background checks for people buying guns, was a popular target for NRA speakers this week, seemingly displacing President Obama as the group's newest bogeyman.
At his nearly two-hour keynote address Saturday night Beck chastised Bloomberg for his campaigns to limit the size of sugary drinks, salt intake, curb tobacco displays and gun control.

I think it’s a perfectly good idea myself because Bloomberg is what decent Jews call a Capo. Bloomberg would probably have collaborated with the Nazi’s to save his own ass (a la George Soros, alias Gyorgi Schwartz). The decent Jews should kick Bloomberg out of the Tribe, just as the Catholics should excommunicate the likes of Biden and Pelosi, and the Mormons Harry Reid. But not of them will, because of the money and “prestige” these “people” bring to their respective religions. None of these so-called religions are anywhere near being true to their tenets and principles in my view. It’s way past time to call a spade a spade!
B’nai Brith is an anti-Christian organization that looks for opportunities to be “offended.”
The fact is that the comparison is apt. That’s why B’nai Brith hates it so much.
People who want to be offended will about nearly everything.

Was the salute the arm pointed forward?
When I was doing research through old newspapers, I came across a photograph of school children using that salute. I did a double take because I didn’t expect to see German children in a US paper. Turns out it was US children and that’s the way the US Flag was pledged allegiance to in the good old days. Later it was changed to hand over heart.
Why Not? Socialist Fascists are the same today as tommorrow, and seventy years ago. They are gathering steam, as I write. What are you afraid of, nickcarraway?

Never apologize for saying what you meant to say.
If you have hurt someone in a personal way, and you want to give a personal apology because you really do regret what you did, thats different.
But phony pro-forma apologies to the permanently outraged are cowardly and to be avoided at all cost. The permanently outraged aren’t going to be any less outraged tomorrow whatever you say or do; its a pose, as phony as the phony apology they will try to force out of you.
I’m sure Beck doesn’t need me to tell him this. Don’t apologize.

People don’t know or realize that the founders of communist Russia were Jews the same as the Rothchilds of Europe banking money who contributed to the Russian Bolshevik Jews. Bloomberg has more potential for evil than all previous despots combined.

Bloomberg, Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, 0bama, et al. are cut out of the same diseased cloth as Stalin, Mao and Hitler. They differ in degree, not in kind.
B'nai B'rith can pound sand. They don't "own" Hitler.
