The Controversial Moment SWAT Teams Ordered Innocent Neighbors Out Of Their Houses At GUNPOINT
Mail Online ^ | April 23, 2013 | Daily Mail Reporter

A startling home-made video now shows the terrifying moments where Watertown residents were forced out of their homes at gunpoint as SWAT teams performed door-to-door searches as they hunted the second marathon bomber. While millions of Bostonians waited in their houses on Friday during the city-wide lockdown, the people of Watertown were faced with SWAT officers yelling at them to get out of the buildings immediately.

No, I read the indictment, most of the evidence is watertight pictures of the perps. The ACLU weighed in earlier on charging him in civil court (rather than military), but most people agree with that anyway.

The ACLU's m.o. is not to defend punks like this, but to get large amounts of case law on their side to exonerate criminals. They go for quantity, not quality.

I agree with that. Their fundraising mentions people targeted with “drug sniffing” dogs, people framed by crooked cops, and other low hanging fruit. They believe they are helping out average Joe, but mostly their goal is to coddle criminals.

Also, we need to stop this war on drugs. I don't like drugs, I never took any illegal drugs in my life nor would I, but it is time to end it. As long as the pot smokers are not at the wheel of a car or some other vehicle, operating heavy machinery and/or making life and death decisions for the country, it is no skin off my nose.

Libertine! </sarcasm>

So, are you a court? Private individuals do not have to presume innocence!

Now you're just caviling. "Private individuals" aren't SWAT teams.

I didn’t say I was a swat team either. Frankly, the guy come around my place he’d be a deadman ~ the cops treated him with kid gloves.

We're not talking about the actions of the "Mad Bomber," we're talking about the actions of the cops in pursuit of the Mad Bomber.

they have the right to do this. If someone knows differently, I’d appreciate a reply.

Yeah, I've heard Government agents do not have a "right" to do their job. They are delegated authority and derive power from the just consent of the people who formed the government. We are the people in "we the people", and taking up employment as a government agent means you have relinquished some rights voluntarily, especially in case where it would conflict with the limits of the delegated authority.

Apparently Just an opinion...

You are a HUGE liar. Not one thing you just said is true, and how exactly did I become a “ringleader”. You’re nuts.

When you call someone a liar you better be prepared to come up with what you think is the truth. You didn't, and Fur Shur that's evidence of your involvement with the pro-terrorist crowd.

Think how your poor orphaned chillun' are going to feel ~ you'd best give up that lifestyle now while you have a chance.

My heart goes out to you but I sure can't stop the FBI from doing what it's gotta' do.

I’m sorry to be late to the party. But better late than never.

I am confused about why you are saying members here are wanting the terrorist released. I think that is why Politicalmom is calling you a liar. Unless this thread got sidetracked, which is a distinct possibility, this article is about Police being possibly abusive to homeowners in the area. And weather that the searches are Constitutional. I’ll admit I haven’t read every post, but I haven’t read ONE that wants the terrorist released.

If I missed a post by PoliticalMom that says that then my apologies. Otherwise..if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

There have been several dozen threads about this one video. NO ONE has come up with a single statement from any of the participants about what was going on. We have ONLY the claims of the people who post the video ~~~

Given the circumstances we really do need THE VOICE PART.

Absent that we have a propaganda piece. It has its fans who want to believe what they want to believe. And, worse, we have the doper crowd who are more concerned for the possibility the cops might see their stash than worry about the mad dog killer who'se been blowing up bombs and murdering people ~ dude even murdered his own brother by driving over him with a SUV.

The poster in question popped up and said I was a liar. That poster has not provided any further evidence that her beliefs are true ~ which means she must have an ulterior motive for doing that. I've simply proposed that she's the ringleader of the crowd who want to turn the perp loose because of someone's uninformed allegation that the 4th amendment was even involved in this particular situation. The poster can deal with it, or with draw the accusation.

She posted “you are a liar” after you posted that Freepers wanted the terrorist released.

I have seen no evidence of that. As for the searches. If a homeowner objected to the search, and they were searched anyway, that, in my opinion, is a violation of the 4th Amendment. If they consented under the point of a gun, then that sounds like coercion to me. Others may disagree. And they have.

As far as the video. It's not as if people are just “making things up”. Unless the video was a bunch of actors, then people are being removed from their homes. With hands in the air. That can't be disputed. I think you would agree that the video posted is not of all the searches, just one of many.

Again, if any one of the homeowners objected to the search and were searched anyway, without a warrant, then it was a violation. Any other reading of the 4th amendment is akin to the gungrabber reading of the 2nd.

Right there you state something that's simply not backed up ~ that they were being removed from their own home. More than one thread on that movie notes that the owner asked the cops to do that.

How you need to look at the pictures depends to a considerable degree on what it all meant to the participants, and whose property it is.

Do you have information you care to impart to us that will inform us of what really went on?

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, I never said 'freepers' ~ that's your addition to a nonstory. This all started when one of our barhoppers said I was drunk. I don't drink. I don't hang around bars. I wasn't drunk.

And, as a practical matter, all I said to PO people who don't read well was to note that we have some on this thread who wanted to turn the perp loose because of allegations that others were having their 4th amendment rights abridged.

Whether or not the people in this video had their rights abridged has nothing to do with that particular argument since NOBODY KNOWS!

You left out the full context of my posted ‘quote’ and made it appear that I was stating ‘they do have the right’. I didn’t state that, but was asking a question regarding another person’s quote.

I certainly agree with that, and earlier I posted that what happened in Boston should actually prove the NEED for having guns for self defense.

True. Terrorist, meet Mr Marlin Model 60. B-)

There was a side of me that wishes Donato Dahlrymple had an M1 Garand or an M3 Grease Gun with Elian. Shame to think that way but as people become more detached from “The Powers That Be” through lies, deceit and abuse, it breaks that contract of trust and causes people to think that way.
