Americans opinion of the federal government has fallen to a record low even as they continue to view local and state governments favorably, according to Pew Research Center survey released on Monday.
The March survey showed Democrats with a more favorable opinion than Republicans of the federal government, at 41 percent to 13 percent.
The poll shows that 63 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of their local government, virtually unchanged since 2007. Fifty-seven percent have a favorable view of their state governments, up 5 percentage points from 2012.

Those certainly are held in the lowest regard, and will eventually meet their Ceausescu moment.
The poll of low-information voters. Their opinion of Federal Government hits a record low, however, they have a far less favorable opinion of the minority party of 2 thirds of the government with the majority party controlling the 2 most powerful branches of the government. Now that makes perfect sense, especially from the low-information voters.
But Obama’s rating never drops below 40%

Those monthly free money checks must have been late or not delivered in the amount they thought thus bad for this poll.
Sounds like a great time to start a movement to revert the 17th amendment vis-a-vis general election of Senators.
I would even go as far as promising every sitting Senator 1 free appointed 6 year term to get them to support it.
There is something wrong with the 13% of republicans who approve of the federal government. They are probably RINO Romney voters.
It is going to crash through the bottom of the graph.
