Bloomberg: If You Sell a Gun to Your Son, 'There's Something Wrong in Your Family'

(CNSNews.com) – If you sell a gun to your son, “there’s something wrong with your family," says New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

In a radio appearance on Friday, Bloomberg, a gun control activist and co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, praised the legislation that is now moving forward in the Senate. The bill would require universal background checks for most sales of firearms, including those online and at gun shows.

“The only thing it would not cover is if you sold a gun to your son, for example,” Bloomberg told radio host John Gambling. “Number one, I don't know how we would ever enforce that if it were the law. So to make a big deal about that's carved out, so what? It doesn't change anything.”

Bloomingidiot has body guards with guns. The fact is liberals are nuts and shouldn’t own guns, so all of their friends being liberals means their view is that no one should own guns.

If you try to sell a gun as the culprit, “there’s something wrong in YOUR family,"

Yep you got it. That kinda thinking could get you right on track to be a bonafide liberal.

Father teaching his son to shoot his 75yo shotgun, then ultimately passing it to him = “theres something wrong with you”

Father telling his son to play in the feces of other men and reject the notion of having his own family = “forward thinking”

This stuff is about the only thing I can think of that makes me glad my grandfather is dead... just so he wouldn’t have to see his beloved country sink so far. Someone get me off this planet...

You are closer than the headline to what he actually said:

“Number two, I would argue if you want to sell your gun to your son, maybe you have a problem in your family,” he said. “Why don’t you just give—I don’t know if you should have a gun or not, but if you have a commercial transaction of $100 with your son, there’s something wrong in your family.

I know... what father SELLS a gun to his son? Where I’m from fathers give their sons guns, usually given to them from their fathers.

From the Fascist Busybody In-Yer-Business Bloomberg, who believes it is proper to regulate SODA SIZE,force kiosks to HIDE CIGARETTES, calling for a SUGAR TAX, and insisting EVERYONE PAY MORE TAXES, I really don’t want to hear shit. STFU a&&hole.

MEA CULPA, MEA CULPA, MEA CULPA MAXIMA!!!

He's right. I actually agree with Bloomberg about something.

“”You GIVE it to him or them FREE of charge. Include ammo too!””

HEAR HEAR! One of my most prized possesions is an old beat up .22 that my father put many a rabbit and squirrel on the table with. He gave it to me when he thought the time was right. Seeing as how I don’t have a son, my daughter will get it next. She knows how special it was to him and to me.
Its an old beat up .22 probly not worth $40american, but it is one of the most valuable objects in our family.

I get those same thoughts and feelings.

We wake up one day and acts of deviancy has been redefined as new protected minority civil rights status.

Not just Grandparents, even my long dead father.

Now I gotta clarify my last statement.

Any number of my expensive pistols that I have or any of the other ARtypes... or just any gun that is very expensive that I hope to sell one day, yeah, my kids gonna have to come up with some cash for those.
But there are guns I have that I plan on giving them and there are guns I have that they could probably have if they asked. So theres a difference.
Of course, if they NEEDED the cash for emergency, they can have anything I own. But since they are doing well, yeeeeaaaahhhh that $1800 Kimber 1911a1 is gonna cost them.

Seems to me that Bloomy is riding hard to get to the top of Henry Bowman’s “list”...

Yes, but who will bell the cat?

Giving it as a gift is much more appropriate.

Along with some ammo and whatever accessories you think he might like. Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and just because it's Monday.

While I agree with giving a growing boy a gun when he's ready for it (and a girl as well), there's a difference between that and selling a gun to a grown child who's making his own way in life. If you want to part with a gun, maybe because you want to buy a different one, why not sell it to a willing buyer, who happens to be your child? Is that somehow reprehensible, while selling it to a stranger isn't?

Why would I sell my son a gun - when I can give it to him freely?

bloomers and cuomo are both kookoos.

You know, it wouldn’t be so bad if liberals’ ideas were confined to a city, county, or state.

If so, we could just move away from them and let them live in their udystopias.

But, leftism isn’t like that. It’s like cancer. It spreads and spreads, and will not leave any cells in your body alone.

Where I live they plowed hover hundreds of acres of natural land and trees and animals to build new housing neighborhoods so they could take over in elections and raise our taxes. Its over here.

He’d wet himself if he didn’t. It’s how faux-royals roll. The hoi polloi can weave while they run, can’t they? Well let them.

I call for Bloomberg to undergo a drug test and a sobriety test to see if there isn’t something wrong with him.
