What do "Big Rig Bounty Hunters" and "Swamp People" on History Channel have in common? They both pummeled CNN and MSNBC's brand new shows' debuts last week in the ratings.
CNN's attempt to mimic Fox News' hugely successful "The Five" with a five person panel show called (get to) The Point" seems to have crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. The week-long tryout at 10:00 PM ET, in place of an Anderson Cooper repeat, was dead last in cable news ratings, finishing behind CNNHLN and CNBC.

I love for the day when I hear the words that both have been closed down and taken off the air.
Lib cable channels are branches of the Federal Witness Protection Program.
If NBC was smart, they’d convert CNBC into something to the right of Fox News. That’s the only way they could put a dent in Fox’s dominance. Lucky for Fox, NBC isn’t very smart.
Thanks Laz.
I don’t even watch the 5 much less CNN...or anything else on FOX for that matter.
Who the Hell cares what a bunch of FOX employees think about anything? Or CNN employees?
Except of course for Andrea Tarantula, I could watch her all day.
Swamp People “chuts” down CNN.
Hey now, the Weather Channel is great for those 60 seconds they sometimes show Local on the 8s.
The Five is a stupid name- but its an interesting format. Kind of like Crossfire in its early days before it became libtard-centric, with 4 blowhards trying to out ‘tard each other
Yep. I was completely addicted the the channel back then. I miss the real history programming, but I'll admit to enjoying much of the newer non-history fare as well.
Their ratings don’t matter. Obama makes sure they get enough government advertising to keep them afloat.
Low Information Citizens = Donner Party
i drove an 18 wheeler 30 long haul years,i can tell you big rig bounty is total b/s.
Except the thing is that I rely on the weather channel for temperature readings so I like the station. I also like what the founder of the Weather Channel said: Weather Channel Founder: Global Warming 'Greatest Scam in History'
The BEST Crossfire ever was on Sunday nights with Bob Beckel and Lynne Cheney!!! OMG!!! after every commercial he would have to apologize because he was so MAD at her for making great points!! MUST SEE TV!!
I have Dish Network’s “Dish America” programming package. It’s a mid-level package with 75 or so channels, including the History Channel. But MSNBC is available only on Dish’s most expensive package. For what it’s worth...
Thanks for the ping.
Most of the ‘reality shows’ are ridiculous but the one that requires total naivete is when the boss of business poses as a new worker in his own business.
The regular workers at his business are supposed to be oblivious to the fact that the ‘new worker’ came with a camera crew.
Worst panel ever - Donny Deutsch really ?
The women make good points then the men make it stupid...why bother.
CNN and MSNBC had new programs debut? Who knew about this??
There are competing weather channels out there now, and they don’t push Anthropomorphic Global Warming. “The Weather Channel” became unwatchable when that Heidi ho went on her crusade to run other weather forecasters who didn’t believe in AGW out of the business.
Cantore is the only one worth watching there.
