Hundreds of chanting, jeering municipal union members, armed with piercing black whistles, drowned out Mayor Nutter Thursday as he attempted to give his annual budget address on the floor of City Council.
Rather than forcibly evict the protesters—who are upset over a four-year stalemate in their contract negotiations with the city—Council President Darrell L. Clarke recessed the meeting as Nutter read his speech. Nutter later delivered his speech downstairs to a more friendly audience—about 30 applauding members of his own staff and 20 reporters.
It was the most chaotic Council meeting in more than 30 years, comparable only to the 1981 session that broke down in a fistfight between Council members John Street and Francis Rafferty as they argued over how to resolve a teachers’ strike.
Nutter said later in the day that he would have continued his delivery, inaudible in chambers, had Clarke not called a recess—but the mayor refused to publicly second-guess that decision. …

This behavior is probably a good thing. The “entitled” left only wants more and more and more and more. They are going to crack apart and become completely ineffective. I just hope when the rioting starts that they’ll burn down their own buildings. And hopefully when that happens, there will be no LBJs to say “oh here, let us rebuild that for you!”
Democrats don’t debate with facts and reason; rather, they invoke victimization and hysteria. And if victimization and hysteria don’t work then they resort to bullying and vilification.

I have long hoped for a time when the left's coalition of special interest groups (gays, feminists, greens, la razas, peaceniks, unionistas, academics etc.) became a coalition of competing interests.
I have also long been disappointed that it hasn't happened yet. Both history and logic suggest it's inevitable, but for the sake of this country, the implosion of the left can't come soon enough.

We should be keeping a chart of all the BLACK RAT Run cities that will chronicle their slide into oblivion. Just Google any major city that has Black :leadership” and you will likely find that their turning points are all associated with the election of their first Black mayor. I’ve checked Detroit, Baltimore and Oakland, and my theory holds 100%! And the corollary is that there isn’t ONE Black Run City that’s doing well. Inept leadership coupled with trash for residents is not a winning hand!
