This is huge. Rand Paul slapped 0bama in the face over and over for almost 13 hours. As I said before; If 0bama doesn’t respond to Rand he looks evil. If 0bama does respond to Rand he looks weak. His massive narcissistic ego will compel him to respond. The MSM will be taking a very big risk with what little credibility they have left to ignore or downplay this.

Senators Paul and Cruz have served their country well, today. I told my kids that they were watching history and excellent examples of leadership...the way our Founders intended. These two stood up to our "over reaching" government, and the world was watching.

I hope TigersEye is correct (post 721), but what I expect to happen is that Obama is going to pretend the filibuster never happened, other to say that Paul was politically grandstanding and that Holder had already answered the question in his hearing. Obama adm does this sleight-of-hand time and time again, owing to a corrupt media.

Already this note from a Freeper: “Just checked CNN.com, cbsnews.com, and msnbc.com. The Paul filibuster is a text-only sub-level headline that is not called out. You can hardly find out that this event took place. Amazing.”

Obama and Holder will issue some meaningless “meaningful” statements, and the Brennan confirmation will pass.

BUT, of even more significance, is that the Repubs may have awakened from their stupor to fulfill their Constitutional responsibility. It’s the Constitution, GOP stupids.

We can always hope. Don't count on Lindsey Graham, though. He's already called it ridiculous to think that drones would be used to kill Americans here. ... And, he's calling this debate "paranoia between libertarians and the hard left that is unjustified."
