Comedy and television icon Bill Cosby slammed Republicans who failed to stand for President Obamas State of the Union speech, likening them to racists who opposed desegregation.
I think we have people sitting there, he said, referring to the presidents SOTU speech, during a CNN television interview reported by Mediaite, who are as bad as the people who were against any kind of desegregation.
His comments came in context of a discussion about racism and the 1965 Bloody Sunday march across Selma, Ala., Mediate reported. Rep. Connie Mack said its just hard to believe, and its unbelievable, in reference to the level of racism that marked that decade, Mediate reported.
I dont think so, Mr. Cosby said, Mediate reported. Not when you look at the presidents speech recently.
Thats when he made the remarks about those who failed to stand for Mr. Obamas speech. He didnt say Republicans but it was members of the Republican Party, not Democratic Party, who failed to stand.
And then in place of a better America, they want their own sick feelings put across and
it isnt a good time, he said, as Mediate reported. But I think, also on our part as professors and presidents of colleges all over, and in public schools, we need to get the education of the correct history that happened so people can say, Yes, this really did happen.

The only reason why most blacks voted for Obama was because he’s black. THAT is racism, period.
I know that where cosby has gone for dental work for years has to change out all their white employees to black ones for the day because he is such a racist
And who also had a picture of Lincoln removed from a hotel room where he was staying. Reason being, "What did he ever do for us?"
Guess what Bill, I would never have stood for Bill Clinton during his SOTU had I been a member of Congress. Or Lyndon Johnson, or Jimmy Carter, or John Kennedy.
To quote Eddie Murphy, “Tell Bill I said to have a Coke and a smile and shut the f%@k up.”
Sorry. Clearly I should have said, “Every Black minus one.”
I apologize.
Sadly, I agree.

Eddie Murphy quoting Richard Pryor, actually...
Won’t someone PLEASE challenge someone who claims this opposition to 0bama is racist with
“please present the logical argument that people would support his Marxist policies if he were white”.
Wow. Hadn’t heard that.
Then how come, Billy Boy, so many of us supported guys like Herman Cain and Allen West? Obama’s not even a legitimate black, being half white. He’s mulatto at best, more likely quadroon.
And Cosby was one of the few who spoke honestly about it, for a long time. I don't know what could have gotten into his head lately.
There’s a saying in Hollywood, “To get along, you go along.”
