(Reuters) - Ending a self-imposed silence about the November election, 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan said on Wednesday that he and presidential running mate Mitt Romney lost not because of ideas, but due to ineffective communication.

Slick Willard was a ringer for Zero.
I have never trusted him since he made this vote...
by mistake he says...
Yeah, that too.
Is there any Republican currently being talked about running that you will support? Those who have been mentioned are Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindahl, Mike Huckabee, Rick Perry plus probably others.
“I think that the Obama campaign just had more walking-around money to “spread the wealth” than did the Wisconsin recall forces - and this was true in ALL the swing states.”
Don’t forget rampant vote fraud. But, bottom line - it was ours to lose, and enough of our base proved it. Like the fool who thought he didn’t have to look before he stepped off the curb when the light changed. He - and we - are dead right.
You didn’t ask me, but the only one I can think of that may give us a chance is Nikki Haley.
There are so many clues to look at, who was the obvious choice for keynote convention speaker, to heal the party and unite it, and which choice would signal a doubling down by the rinos, that they were in total control of the party, and that the Reagan wing could get lost? So who was not allowed at the convention, and who gave the speech?
Running pro-abortion TV ads was probably a mistake of the same type, as was the presidential candidate sticking to his position of homosexualizing the military and the Boy Scout leaders, and rejecting the party’s pro-life platform on television.
Well, that’s true. Ryan was this year’s Sarah Palin; the GOP practically dropped a bag over his head and didn’t let him go out in public. Ryan actually had a plan to go and address lower income people (even in black neighborhoods) in the cities and to get the message out in media channels where it might have made a difference, but since Romney had no ideas and was terrified of even being thought to have any ideas other than professing his love and respect for Obama, that came to nothing.
Spoken like a true GOP-e puke. Romney made it very clear that the likes of Palin would NOT be allowed to speak at the Convention. Romney and his staff had a very negative view of Conservatives.
I am sick and tired of Freepers who relentlessly attack so called Conservative purists. It's disgusting.
Romney lost the Conservative base because he made it clear he did NOT respect them.
Romney lost because he could never truly internalize or convey a Conservative message. Romney relished destroying all Conservative opponents, but only landed kid gloves on the Marxist.
I reluctantly voted for Romney, but let the arrogant elites know this: Never again will I cast a vote for any RINO type candidate like Romney. I WILL WITHHOLD my vote.
The entire blame for Romney's loss lies solely with the disgusting GOP-e, the likes of Rove, Preibus, D.C beltway pundits, etal.
BTW, I’m so sick of hearing Rush go on about what a wonderful person, possible saint and fantastic candidate Romney was that I can’t even listen to him any more.
Actually, the day of the election, I thought Rush was going to burst into tears because he had seen Romney on TV and (all choked up) said that he thought he had never seen anybody better looking, more honorable, more American and with a better looking family in his entire life. I don’t know what came over Rush, but I sure didn’t share it!
I think Rush did the entire GOP a disservice in cutting down some of the other candidates and coming out to fall at the feet of Romney. He still seems to adore him.
Well.. also contributing to that was a decidedly leftward drift across the political center. America isn`t a center-right country anymore.
Yes, you both missed the Conservative message.

He should have reached out to his competitors and ASKED for their support, and included Sarah Palin in that as well.
The problem was Romney. Period.
