I’ve been putting it off for a few months now....it’s time that I serviced my gun collection....they all need a good cleaning and oiling to get rid of the dust they’ve been collecting.

The know that Clinton's AWB gave us the Republican Revolution of 1994.

Even Franken is unwilling to appear too fired up about the gun-grab. Of course, his attitude will surely change after Nov 2014, but maybe this whole thing will fizzle by then.

One insider reported that Obama was going to do much harsher things my EO but that he backed down because of the furor. We actually DID win this one. It could have been far worse. Reportedly even Reid told Obama to back off.

Those that seem to think Obama has become some unbeatable political power overnight because of his fiscal cliff antics (the Republicans screwed themselves over on that one back in 2011, when they bet all their money on winning the presidency during the Debt Ceiling Deal.), are forgetting that Obama just barely managed to get his health care bill through the most heavily democrat congress in half a century even with the liberal use of parliamentary shenanigans. His chance of doing the same with a Republican House and much less democrat Senate is to the south side of slim and none.

Not gonna happen. That Feinstein bill will die in committee. Dingy Harry wants to get re-elected in Nevada.

The Senate is going to do a combination of the Beer Barrel Polka, the Fish Fry two - step and the LA Hip Hop, honk, cough, and roll out a Barber Shop Quartet and then do nothing. The Democrats don’t want any of this sticking to them.

I suppose it’s unchristian of me, but it’s actually amusing to watch Harry Reid right now. I just get the feeling that he wishes this whole thing would just go the hell away. I think he is not in his happy place right now.

I hope this article is true. I’m still smarting from being told Romney would win.

If it does come to a vote, I hope all the Republicans just vote "Present".

Because, if they come right out and vote no, the Obama ass-kissing Media will just say "See? It was all those right-wing Republicans who stopped this". It gives them a convenient target.

By voting "Present", the media will have to focus on the Democrats that are blocking the Bill. And if they want to scream about some moral issue about voting "Present", we just point the finger back at O'Dumbass and ask why the Media never had a problem with him doing exactly the same thing.

From the linked article: In a carefully worded statement, Franken said he's "always supported the Second Amendment rights of Minnesotans to own firearms for collection, protection, and sport. But I also think we need to find a balance between those rights and the safety of our children and our communities."

Here's a game we can play. Pin the Tail on the Franken.

In a carefully worded statement, Franken said he's "always supported the First Amendment rights of Minnesotans to publish newspapers and attend churches. But I also think we need to find a balance between those rights and the harmony of our cities and towns."

In a carefully worded statement, Franken said he's "always supported the Third Amendment rights of Minnesotans to be free from having soldiers quartered in their homes. But I also think we need to find a balance between the rights of homeowners and the need to house our military in our communities where they will soon be needed.

Who wants to try the Fourth Amendment?
