Too young! That’ll be the day.
Grapevine was a Barrett Strong/Norman Whitfield composition that went out to several Motown artists, but The Pips version was substandard compared to the heavily orchestrated Marvin Gaye version. I love the triple drummers on Marvin’s version. It’s the legends Benny “Papa Zita” Benjamin and Richard “Pistol” Allen along with relative newcomer Uriel Jones on trap sets as well as Eddie “Bongo” Brown doing his thing. There’s so much going on without overwhelming Marvin’s vocal that it’s just awesome. Johnny Griffith plays Fender Rhodes and the great James Jamerson cooks the bass until it’s sizzles. It was all done live and remains one of the greatest recordings of all time imho.
Good gads...it’s full time job keeping up with kids! LOL
Happy training & good luck Lance!
A criminal justice degree for Nicole? How cool she has such direction at such a young age.
Ya done good Mom & Dad!
Getting over a rough patch of bronchitis but other wise we are all well. Temps are in the mid 60’s as a high & heaters are on...lame I know! ROFL
Thanks! We did have a bit of snow, but lucky for us, it goes away quickly. It’s still really cold (for us) though.
It has slowed down. Good thing, too, because today was the last day for our temps. Plus, I leave for OKC on Sunday to be there when Callie is welcomed into her loving family’s arms. :)
LOL! I’ll let YOU figure that one out, Dude! :)

Crosby Stills Nash & Young - Wooden Ships (Live 1974)
Thank you for the Motown trbute Drumbo....RIP Patti Page.
Look for some fresh lemons in your near future!
She is having a c-section on Monday, the 7th, and I’ll be there for about 1 1/2 weeks. I would love to stay longer, but my job won’t authorize it.
Since my son had a seizure and can’t drive till Feb., I will be their wheels till my DIL is released to drive. I just pray there are no complications.
Hope you have a great weekend! *Hugs*
“Crosby Stills Nash & Young”
There should be commas after the words/names, “Crosby” and “Stills” but don’t worry. I won’t tell your wife about the obvious punctuation errors. :-)
Finally got home after an hour at the pharmacy.....they had to fight with the insurance folks. I just got the brand new ID cards on Wednesday.
They told the pharmacy that the numbers on the card weren’t good and he had no coverage. She said she got transferred several times and then, “I had to get nasty” before they would tell her the correct numbers. Tomorrow I have to get on the phone and try to get new cards with the proper numbers.
All this after I spent 2 hours on the phone with them this morning. *sigh*
Yes, I do! ((((hugs)))) back! :)
Thanks, unique, for the woohoo!!
