DALLAS - Two women claim they were molested during a body cavity search on the side of the road. They are now suing the Texas Department of Public Safety and its officers.
Angel Hobbs, 38, and her 24-year-old niece, Ashley Hobbs, were stopped along Highway 161 in July.

They do the most damage to the “conservative” reputation.
Just the police and the military.
Is there a link without all the BS in it? I gave up trying to watch it.
For every one who tells us they got out because of all us stupid citizens, there are a hundred more who stay in to teach us all those much-needed lessons.
They’ll be the ones making sure the cross is sewn onto Christians’ clothing for their “safety”, and marching for Hussein, or whomever will support their quest to teach the stupid citizens right from wrong.
But they believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. /s
For Gods sake you place yourself above the rules here that state no personal attacks....yet you can't help yourself as you know better
Again - Im thankful you are not in my locale, charged with protecting my children & wife
We are also mindful that the occupants willingly complied, lest they be maced and clubbed in the norm of un necessary escalating aggression & overwhelming response to nonsensical stops & other minor issues the public is apt to commit.....
That said, I fully expect this officer and the female officer to be found guilty of violating the occupants rights. Sadly, any legal payments will come from the local seat and not their own pockets.
The question begs...how many dogs have you shot?
Yeah! What he said! Who are you going to believe, BCW or your lying eyes? Clearly the internal investigation would show that these dangerous and uncooperative, potential felons were never cavity searched and even if they were, it was entirely appropriate as they were "civilians" and as such, should have no rights. Besides, LEO elites should not have to explain themselves to the unwashed masses so just be quiet and accept it unless you want your dog shot. Littering is a gateway crime. Before you know it, these two could go on to even worse crimes like jaywalking.
There was a time when I had nothing but respect for police. That has changed. There are too many Barney Fifes like BCW who who really think that what they do is more dangerous than say, being a roofer or a convenience store clerk or a farmer or dozens of other jobs. I do have friends that are cops but not the kind who think they are some sort of paramilitary elite.
And as far ast "facts" go, just what the heck does Timothy McVeigh have to do with this. Yes he was pulled over, etc. probably because every cop within a thousand miles was on the alert because their own, or their federal cousins, were down. It is a stretch to take littering to a full blown drug cavity search on the side of the road based on a frickin nose for "officer's safety" BS. I could believe the old "I shot the little Chihuahua because I feared for my life" excuse before this.
Perhaps if law enforcement had done a better job of policing themselves, it would not suffer from the utter lack of respect that it now suffers. Your knee jerk and automatic defense of the obviously indefensible is indicative of the culture of providing cover for those that don't deserve it because "they are one of our own" is the reason. Had you made a greater effort to purge your own ranks of scum through peer pressure and not support bad behavior, the profession would have far more respect today. I feel bad for the many good cops out there that are damaged by actions like these. You should too.
I watched the movie. Tell me, do you think every woman driving past has a hidden weapon in her rectum. Doesn't every person have that same potential? So if they weren't arrested, why check for weapons? Was it your SOP to do a cavity search on everyone you pulled over, just in case?
I've read the Constitution and the Declaration. God given rights. Violate those and pay the price. Your opinion counts for squat in that matter.
LEO pulls this crap on my wife or daughters and they don't make it home one night. Understand? That badge doesn't make a person Superman.
The LEO saw something tossed out the window. Sounds like a littering ticket. Smells MJ? Fine, give a sobriety test to the driver. Far too many LEOs are nothing but badge bullies, who turn away from confronting real problems (too scarey) and focus instead on people they expect to be timid and compliant. I've seen that happen too many times to count.
I'm as cordial as I can be if I'm pulled over, and I've given assistance to an LEO that needed it, but I give them no more leeway than any other citizen when it comes to respecting people's rights and dignity.
LEOs now operate on the principal that to ensure their personal safety, they must violate other people's rights. That is unacceptable to free people.
Even the Nazis didn’t conduct cavity searches in public. Especially not over littering.

“Yes, best to assume the cops acted correctly, even when and especially if video exists to the contrary.”
No kidding! I am always concerned that we allow cops to have weapons! My experience with them is that like every other “government employee.” cops think that somehow they are above the very laws they have taken an oath to uphold. I used to “be friends” with our town’s first Chief of Police because he married a family friend. We are friends no more now that I know more about how he comported himself as a LEO. He’s now 75 and has just joined a church. He wife says its because he feels guilty about his behavior back when he was in uniform.
I’ve been saying this for quite awhile, routine traffic stops are turning into stories of police state tactics.
Out-freakin-rageous! Ordinary citizens are automatically suspects.
I couldn’t even imagine if this were my wife and daughter..oh man.
I would never allow them to do this to me or my family. If I went to jail, well then so be it.
Truthfully, I’d probably get tazed or shot. That would be worth fighting back!
Prison guards are worse, but “fortunately” they’re not out on the street much on duty.
They like beating people up.
>>Im so glad Im not in L.E. anymore
It’s a relief to us all<<
Amen to that! Few things worse than a cop that forgets that the overwhelming majority of people...are NOT criminals!
I’m not sure what BS you are referring to, I had no trouble seeing the link. If you are still having problems, google is your friend.
