DALLAS - Two women claim they were molested during a body cavity search on the side of the road. They are now suing the Texas Department of Public Safety and its officers.
Angel Hobbs, 38, and her 24-year-old niece, Ashley Hobbs, were stopped along Highway 161 in July.

Little fascists exist in pockets throughout the country. Obama means to link them all together.Thats when the real trouble will begin. And we are being pushed in that direction as a country. If you do not have a fascist authority in your face yet, do not worry, you will not be left out. The public is simply expected to submit to them.

I bet we’ll see a lot of this once the TSA starts its roadside “services.”
“Video shows the female officer’s hand on their breasts and down the back and front of both women’s pants.”
There could be hidden weapons stashed in places that most people wouldn’t touch - and for officer safety reasons - every part of a body must be searched - plus, marijuana has a very unique smell and these two got caught and when a low life is searched like this - it always protocol for them to file a complaint...I’m so glad I’m not in L.E. anymore due to dealing with people like this...
I wonder what the cause for complaint would be for a male subject that was obese and was wearing a BRO (http://cdn.gunaxin.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/seinfeld-bro.jpg)
Yep, one the the Justice Department’s big initiatives is making “partnerships” with state and local law enforcement agencies (especially Sheriff’s offices) to do Uncle Sam’s bidding, usually in exchange for federal “dollars” or some “cool” new surveillance or SWAT toys.
What part of police procedure is it to grope and cavity search a female ‘suspect’ on the side of a public highway?
The pretext for the search was marijuana, not potential weapons hidden in one or both of their snatches, to be crude. Yet, when it appears the officer violates someone, it is always the threat of weapons, etc. that becomes the reason.
Were I their lawyer, I’d give this trooper a rectal exam on his documented and validated expertise at determining just how and when one determines that and what are the exact levels between transition from occasional use to daily use.
He pulled them over for littering - not terrorism.
These women were juts lucky that they didn't have a dog with them or else it'd be dead.
Trust me, I’m glad that you’re not in law enforcement anymore, too.
For the officer's safety? He hadn't made an arrest. These two weren't threatening violence on anyone. And if they were cuffed behind their backs and put in the police car, how would they retrieve those shanks? That would be quite a trick.
If you don't have evidence to arrest, then you don't have evidence to do a cavity search. Probable cause for a cavity search should be a lot higher than "I think I smell something."
Officer safety is BS, not just in this case, but in most cases. Its a catch all, just like "interfering with a police officer", to excuse all manner of bullying and petty tyranny.

I’ve got to second the “glad you’re no longer LEO” sentiment ...
Agreed!
yeah - real scofflaws - driving down the road - whew - I feel so much safer there are no people like them in my town - so much safer as well that LEOs would never trump up BS road stops
Trust me - Im glad youre not in law enforcement anymore as well
I think you stepped in it this time son.
Body Cavity search’s are not done on the side of the road.
One thing is sure, either these women are lying about the extent of the search or some Bull Dyke lady cop had a great time that day.
They made the claim on the dash cam video in the presence of the officers at the time. Lends credence to the complaint, imho. If false officers would have vigorously denied it, knowing there was a recording of the incident.
The entire incident is on video.
I'm so glad you are not in LE either.
Did you actually watch the video? A cop said this was an illegal or improper search.
We do still have the remaining scraps of a Constitution even if Little Hitlers believe that they can determine who deserves rights and who doesn't.
