Has anybody checked if theres hair on his palms? Ahhh, yes. I was gonna go there. Momma did say you could go blind...... Apparently it might be true.

I wonder if anyone is going to teach him some of the other basic rules of life.....
-Do not pee into the wind.
-Sticking a fork into an electrical outlet is never a good idea.
-Don’t drink out of the toilet.
-Do not stick body parts into other yours or anyone else’s butt.
-You should not share your wee wee with those that have their own.

I wake up in the middle of the night and it feels like my eyes are on fire, my eyeballs and I think oh maybe I have sand in my eyes or something. I douse my eyes with water. Anyway, it turns out I have sunburned my eyeballs and I go blind. I went blind for 36 hours. It's what happens to welders when they catch a flash while welding.

Accidentally did it to myself years ago while welding. Feels like teaspoons of sand were dumped in each eye! Did the same thing in my yute arc welding without a shield. I couldn't believe that I didn't have sand in my eyes.

So so smart - knows everything. Has he ever heard why welders wear their welding helmets? Protect their eyes from the bright charges.
To: donna
Same thing can be had watching a welder, or a long day at the beach or in the snow.
I’ve had Welder’s eyes - very painful. I wasn’t blind but my eyes watered so much I couldn’t see clearly. Even though I knew better than watching a welder, if several are working you can get it anyway, out of the corner of your eye.
I don’t know why seamen rarely complain of it, but I’ll guess they learn not to stare at the sea & keep their eyes turned toward the boat.

Anyone know how sailors in the old days avoided this?
