Well freedom fans, Glenn thinks the hundreds of thousands who e-signed the various peaceful secession petitions are crazy.
Another way to put what you’re saying is, WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE LEAVE OUR OWN COUNTRY??! If anyone needs to be going, it’s the libtard socialists and communists and those attempting to make us into a quasi european-rwanda-south african hellhole.
I’m not freaking leaving. If anyone is leaving it’ll be them.
It’s over, all that’s left is the enevitable decline to irrelavance, like England and Western Europe generally.
I believe that this god’s plan to take America’s stabalizing influence off the table so that he may carry out his plan for Israel and the end of the age! But who knows for sure!
As always some will do their duty and some will stand around and bitch.

The people who say that it will never happen, just might be wrong. NOBODY thought that the Soviet Union would fall, but it did, almost over night.
In this political climate with absolute lunatics in charge, anything can happen....
...and when it does, it will be so quick that it will catch most people off guard...
WILL A CONSERVATIVE LEADER STAND UP AND RALLY THOSE TO THE CAUSE OF SECESSION? I think it’s only a matter of time that someone comes out of the shadows to take up the cause.
I had a quick look at Beck’s web site. I didn’t see anything about possible voter fraud which helped to start the secession movement.
On the other hand, I don’t see secession as a remedy for problems concerning the election.
By the time anything even happened with this, we’ll have a new president.
He believes it will lead to violence and civil war.
So, if the states were just ready to act quickly, with "currency" pre-staged for initial disbursal, then great human suffering could be avoided, and, in fact, greater prosperity might even be achieved in the absence of the great Federal Parasite.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the White House were behind the petition. There’s no way I would sign that petition. It’s an invitation to have the FBI investigate you.
If no one said anything, how would they know we are not going along with the republicans after the election? They now, at least, know there is anger and dissatisfaction around. I don’t pick and choose, I hate everything about what is going to happen from here on. They don’t mean to be nice and they don’t mean to spare any of us. We do not yet know the scope of what the left has planned. They think they have the right to do whatever they so choose, and they think NO ONE will stop them.
I turned off the radio when Beck started going off on these people for signing the petition. He was calling names and everything.
Sure, maybe nothing will happen but if some people feel this is what they want to do, why shouldn’t they. It reminds me of the Arab women on Facebook taking off the hijabs and they were shut down for that. Imagine.
It does do something, it proves that stupid website Obama set up is a big bunch of nothing. All show. So why can’t the citizens put on a show pointing out how pathetic and useless that website is? The world will see that.
Having their names out there is a problem? Heck, with google, face book and the Patriot Act (talk about 1984-act of a patriot my foot!), does anyone think they stay off a list if they don’t sign? It doesn’t matter if somebody signs or doesn’t sign. They know what food you like and if you wipe from the front to back or otherwise.
I do think it shows how far we are gone— we are frightened of our government.
What does all Beck’s Restore this, that and the other do? What does his E 4 or whatever do? What does his little 1861 thing do? What did his being George Washington do? Line his pockets, that is what.
If we are worried that the right will look like fools for signing that petition, that doesn’t matter either. The left thinks we look like fools for listening to Beck, FOX, Rush, defending Chic Filet or whatever. Their opinion is decided already.
I hear ya
I turned Beck off when he trashed Newt.
I agree with your take on it.
In addition I would state that we need to take the whole nation back, not just parts of it.
Folks, Obama may not even make it through this next four years. As more information comes out regarding Benghazi and the Petraeus scandal, we may be amazed how history plays out.
Senator Feinstein is angry the Petraeus investigation was kept from her for months.
Which is exactly why I haven’t signed anything.
That is the reason I won’t sign one of these petitions.
I understand. While I don't want to secede, and I'm certainly not an enemy of the State, I would sign that petition in a heartbeat if the Obozo regime considered me as an enemy of "their" state.
Meant to ping you also to post 116.
You are right, in that online petitions are a joke. If there was a real secessionist movement, it would consist of real signatures, rallies, etc. in the states in question. I have yet to hear of such a thing. I also think that secession is unrealistic, barring some kind of economic collapse.
But having said that, I don’t agree that this is similar to FDR. This country has passed a tipping point. We are now sliding down towards European socialism, and the combination of immigration (taking in large numbers of unskilled, 3rd world people) and “education” (little more than kids being trained for 16 years in terms of who to hate) makes any kind of political change very unlikely.
Anecdotally, I have been shocked at how many times I have heard people who I didn’t even know were political, refer to secession, collapse, and how America is now finished. I am talking about secretaries, professionals, clerks, and small business owners. The feeling that this country has changed is palpable. I don’t think it will lead anywhere, but I am less sure of that than I once was.
Our control of the House, which you cite, is irrelevant. America’s internal enemies now know that they can do whatever they want, without repercussions. Any notion that the GOP will stop them is as unrealistic as any online petition.
Though I TOTALLY agree with the petitioners, what they are doing is just STUPID/useless!
If someone REALLY wants their state to succeed, they need to be lobbying their state legislators/governor. When the state intends to succeed, they can then notify the White House and .gov of their decision, and then carry it out.
This is nothing but a big side show/temper tantrum.
The states interested are in flyover country. Flyover is coming to dislike that the large population zones are really the ones running things. The original articles of confederation of the United States of America recognized the power of the more populated areas and the loss of sovereignty that would result from a more binding federal union.
It’s fairly evident that the compromise of two senators was either ruined by the 17th amendment or was insufficient in any case.
In the presidential contest it amounts to a mere 2 additional electoral votes per state.
