WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- New revenues "under the right conditions" are acceptable to Republicans as part of a deal to reduce the deficit, House Speaker John Boehner said Wednesday. But Boehner, speaking a day after his party retained its House majority in elections, said revenue should come through growth and reform, not higher tax rates. Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire and automatic spending cuts will kick in next year if Congress doesn't act in the lame-duck session

“Afghanistan? Yuck!!!”
lol... I’m just saying - we can sell it too, but if we send our kids and resources to fight for it - we get to do with it what we please.
If they don’t want our help and pose no national security threat we leave them alone.
There has to be an advantage to being the big dog.
” I learned, one cannot make a deal with democRATS. “
I will be amazed if we or the world learns..... particularly when Obama gets a “mulligan” on his first 4 years.
In 4 years we will be “New Canada”.
We will be lucky to still be here. Everyday is a day which ends in having had luck, especially at my age. I cannot have my country back. It will not happen in my lifetime. My children and grandchildren may or may not survive. The sooner the collapse, the better their chances. Is sad but is true. So who should get the blame? Yes, it was tried to stop the collapse many a year ago. Will America’s people figure it out? Don’t know, but the truth must be told over and over and over. Thus far all which is taking place is to posture, while little to no truth is told. To heck with posturing. Tell the people the truth and get it over with (the collapse). I hate politics, but I hate lies more. Give the people the truth. If they say we are lying, well heck we tried.
“We will be lucky to still be here.”
We’ll be here - but it will be different.
There will be rich folks and everyone else. The middle class will be gone. Taxes will be so high that the old middle class will be poorer, and the poorer will have services to support them like middle class. (Kinda see that now)
Work ethic will suck. (See that now too ala Occupy rallies)
The police state will become more forceful (this is next) no guns
Manufacturing will slow more under crushing regs.
Small businesses will disappear slowly.
Regulations & taxes will slow progress and innovation.
America will look like every other country.
Asia will become more powerful on the world stage.
This is worst case I suppose.
ya never know though American ingenuity is pretty powerful stuff.
Once American ingenuity was powerful stuff. With the new regulations going into effect and with the retreat of our manufacturing base, innovation normal comes from the on-the-line people. On-the-line people become fewer each day in our nation. We have some manufacturing left but where do you purchase your clothing from? It is different from thirty years ago, or one can say forty years ago. Much has changed, so Hope and Change was the prelude to more? More of what? More took the last train, then plane with Jesus out of the country. Maybe there was a cloud involved instead of a train or plane. And More is not spelled with two o's for the more am discussing.
Once the world feared us, now they sit back and wait on us to defeat ourselves when our nation goes to war. What happened? Don't know; maybe it was Harry Truman dropping a bomb or two. Guess what though, afterward was the largest expansion of this nation to ever occur. We went to the Moon! Where is our program of exploration presently. They call where it is a museum. Put the mothballs on our history, they did, because someone was ashamed. Then was told because I wasn't ashamed, I was evil. Made me sad FRiend, but what is ... is. And then was told I was not intelligent enough to know the meaning of what is ... is. Guess I'll go to my grave eventually, sooner rather than later, but maybe can stand in front of the Lord before he condemns me to hades and say Lord, now I understand your Angels of Mercy. I know our Lord will nod.

Once upon a time, folks here would READ THE ARTICLE and point out the lies and distortions. Now not so much.
Guess I’m not perfect....like some....
Yep, everyone should have skin in the game, not just payroll taxes. GOP bought into this stupidity in the 1980s, unmindful of long term impact.
