There's no shortage of their kind in the politically bluest parts of California. Liberals so freaked out about the prospect of President Obama losing his re-election bid that they can't sleep at night. Can't talk about anything else. Can't stop parsing the latest polls.
David Plouffe, one of President Obama's top campaign strategists, has a word for supporters he feels are needlessly fretful: bed wetters.
"Oh, I think I'm worse than that," Kay Edelman said.
For the past several weeks, the 60-year-old San Francisco resident has frequently bolted awake in the middle of the night, in "a panic attack," she said. She darts for her computer and checks the latest polls. Some days she's so distraught that she can't exercise.
Every morning, she gets e-mails from friends who've been just as sleepless. Most are so tense, they can croak out only a few words. "Very anxious." "Worried."
"Nothing more needs to be said," said Edelman, a retired educational administrator.
Emotional role reversal
In this most unpredictable of campaigns, an emotional role reversal is happening in California. Republicans, who hold no statewide offices and are only 30 percent of registered voters, are more upbeat and enthusiastic.
Liberals, on the other hand, keep checking the polls......

The woman in those pictures is 60? Its obvious where she spends much of her money, her bosoms defy gravity, and her face must have more botox than a sea of bacteria.
More and more I come to understand that there are only three types of democrats.
There are generational democrats (My grandaddy was a democrat, my daddy was a democrat, and I’m a democrat) who oddly enough usually vote for the republican.
There are the irredeemably evil (clintons, obamas, gores, welfare parasites etc)
And there are the delusional (the people talked to in this article).
How can anyone be so incredibly stupid as these people are?
Liberalism truly is a mental disease
The story also didn't say how long she's been "retired". 5 years? 10?
Perhaps the old lady will stroke out.
Think about the Speaker of the House........ only two heartbeats away from President
So sweet.
“They play on our fears”.... seems to apply a lot more to the Left
She’s afraid her 150K retirement could go away. After all she worked 6 mos a year for 20 years for her money.
Pray for America
People who are frozzen in fear don’t think clearly. When people don’t think clearly they make mistakes. People who are joyous and enthusiastic about a task think clearly and find creative ways to further their ends. If California Republicans are 8 points higher on enthusiasm think of what must be going on in states where Romney can win. BTW Battle ground has a 53/44 enthusiasm gap toward Romney.
When emotion takes over logic your a democrat. They fear truth more than anything else, note media.
It’s about time they are having panic attacks. The rest of us have been in panic mode since Novemer 2008.

This line under a picture of her in her home gym in her multi-million dollar condo in SF. Not bad for a retired teacher. She and her friends are terrified that their cozy little gangsters' union will suffer under Romney.
sanity,, how can you lose it..
when ya never had it?
Nice high beams.
Wonder if they were funded by the California taxpayers?
Thank you for posting this... I must confess to feeling a great amount of Schadenfreude and not being able to wipe the resulting smirk off my face...
Sickening horror is right, I literally felt physically ill for days. I went to the gym the next day and this 85 year old nut smiled and asked me what I thought of the election. I told him that I thought the nation had committed suicide. He looked at me as if he thought he was seeing a martian. My wife walked up to us and he told her what I had just said and she told him that she felt the same way. I thought the old fool was going to have a stroke! That was the only fun I had that day.
