President Barack Obama has cancelled his rally that was scheduled for Tuesday morning in Colorado Springs to monitor Hurricane Sandy, according to a White House press release.
Obama will return to Washington to continue to monitor the hurricane following a campaign event in Ohio on Monday. A campaign event that was scheduled in Northern Virginia on Monday was also cancelled because of the storm.
According to a statement made by the White House Saturday night, “The President is being regularly updated on the storm and ongoing preparations, and he has directed his team to continue to bring all available resources to bear as state and local partners continue to prepare for the storm.”
The press release said that FEMA has deployed teams and has pre-staged resources to potentially affected areas of the storm.
The rally that was scheduled in Colorado Springs’ Red Rock Canyon Open Space park on Tuesday was meant to focus on issues such as the economy and early voting, according to a campaign spokesperson.
Funny, I don’t recall him cancelling any events when a named storm was about to hit Florida...

It will likely break down to a tropical storm almost immediately after making landfall.
Perhaps he is now planning an air strike...somewhere in Libya, or Iran, or perhaps Syria? Trying again to pretend like he is “tough on terrorism”?
Is this the quiet before the storm? What purpose would this serve?

Didn’t loser McCain suspend his losing campaign to go back to the Senate to “handle” the exploding financial crisis in October 2008? Ironic Zero is adopting a similar strategy. Wonder if it’s for the same reason? You know, because he’s a loser.
He needs to be stopped is what needs to happen. The damage he is doing is incalculable.

Exactly. He is loosing ground everywhere and his appearances are not helping. Someone will ask him about his continual lying about Benghazi. He has been proven to be a liar at every junction, including Peneta (sp), Hillary, and Biden.
Looking at the known facts that Navy Seal (name forgotten at the moment) who disobeyed Obama’s orders and rescued approximately 30 people should recieve the Medal of Honor. He not only braved enemy fire for the rescue but also his the ire of his superiors who did not have the balls to countermand the Idiot in Chief and order the rescue.
The office corp of the military has become so effeminate with all of these . . . never mind! Getting really poissed off again and can hardly think straight.
This guy and his family desreve that medal. They need to know how America really feels about him.
I believe part of the problem in 2008 was Pelosi declared martial law on Sept. 28th. In all that confusion there was a tremendous amount of stuff going on behind the scenes that we were truly not privvy too. And may never yet know.
Given how he handled his 9/11, it's a wonder he's not in Vegas.

We can bet they’re trying to mute and threaten those in the military who know the truth. The shredders are going 24/7 in preparation for January so they don’t go to prison for corruption and treason. Rattlesnakes eating their own about now.
