CONGRATULATIONS Old Sarge and many blessings to you.
Congratulations
.
May God watch over you both always
Of Schuberts songs, the complete song cycles The Fair Maid of the Mill and Winter Journey were well known. Both came from the poetry of Wilhelm Müller thats Bill Miller to us Americans and Sergei wrote an arrangement of Where To? from the Fair Maid cycle as an encore.
Schubert: Where To? (Ohlsson on piano)
Hiya Drumbo & great to see you! Are you up to your eyeballs in pear jam, pear butter & preserves yet?:) *Hugs*
Aloha Bigs! *Hugs*
Only 18 more days. Feeling good?
Sonboy & Wahines doing well?
Good evening Kathy...all quiet on the northern front? *Hugs*
(HUGS)
It finally cooled off. Wrapping up Rachmaninov tonight.
Oh yes. Samples are on the way.
Walked into 'Bare Arms' the other & saw a case of mosin nagants. First time I've ever held one. They were only $124.00 & weathered. :)

I found it easy to play after rehearsing it for about a half hour. Had the piano at the Tea Party meeting site been up to the challenge, I would have played it to start the meeting right after the pledge of allegiance.
Rimsky-Korsakov: Flight of the Bumble Bee (Kissin on piano)
This arrangement makes a single piano sound like an entire orchestra.
Mendelssohn: Scherzo from A Midsummer Nights Dream (Rachmaninov on piano via RCA Victor recording, 1933)
His partial arrangement of Bachs Partita #3 for Violin is amazing.
Bach: 2 Movements from Partita #3 in E (Rachmaninov on piano via RCA Victor recording, 1934)
