Violent crimes unexpectedly jumped 18 percent last year, the first rise in nearly 20 years, and property crimes rose for first time in a decade. But academic experts said the new government data fall short of signaling a reversal of the long decline in crime.

The stats don’t lie; the natives are restless and you better arm y’selves in indian country.
You watch... urban America is going to turn into Dodge City!
I WILL buy a gun then!
0bama’s tactics of ‘AGITATION’ trickling down.. What is a Community Organizer? AN AGITATOR. That defines 0bama’s presidency.. Divide into classes and groups, inflame hostilities towards chaos, then conquer. The overwhelming of our entitlement system is part of this plan. Cloward-Piven is what’s happening. Nothing good can come from it.
Obama’s fault. And, yes, I DO mean that.
“I WILL buy a gun then!”
Really? You are going to wait til then? Thats kind of like waiting to buy a fire extinguisher until your house is on fire. Unless you are really good (or really bad) at sarcasm, I don’t get it.
Um... That will be too late and you will likely be unable to obtain one at that point.
Just ask all the people in LA in 1992 who thought they could put off a gun purchase until trouble came. For various reasons, they found they were unable to obtain *anything*. Same deal in New Orleans after Katrina.
Also, this is like waiting to order a life preserver until your boat is already sinking. Good luck with that idea.
Get at least one *right now*.
“But academic experts said the new government data fall short of signaling a reversal of the long decline in crime.”
Dumba$$es.
Much of the entitlement payment is simply extortion — pay or we’ll run amok. Well, the entitlements have been going up based on the CPI, which of course is B.S., while the true inflation has effectively cut the entitlement payment in half. The criminals don’t like that, and they are going back to their old ways. It’s going to get a lot worse. Buy a gun and be prepared to kill with it.
There is a lot of crime in rural areas. For instance,
-Victor David Hansen has written many columns about how out of control it is in the interior of California where he has lived his whole life.
-Three weeks ago there was a story about how a 92-year-old man who lives on a Kentucky farm killed a white intruder and how that was the 3rd recent break in.
I mean no disrespect, but you should already own at least one.
Do not wait, buy a firearm now. Stock up on ammo. Learn how to use it and practice. Learn the laws. Then hope that you will never need to use it.
Buy one now!
Get ammunition, training, a backup, training, and training!
Long gun in a military caliber and the largest handgun you can manipulate reliably at a minimum (start with a .22 to learn marksmanship and avoid bad habits).
If ya have to get good while the bad stuff is happening, it is too late.
Stay alert
... unexpectedly...
these people are just flummoxed by the world
wait.. you mean as people hit tough economic times, they will resort to any means necessary to provide for themselves and family?
go figure
All my friends have guns and some very exotic stuff too.
Actually, getting my hands on one won’t be a problem.
FRiend, if you’re saying that you will get one when you need one, you won’t need it, it will be too late.
Perhaps your friends will help you select a firearm that will work best for you, your lifestyle and life situation.
Good luck....
Ping!
Yeah, I am gonna have to go along with everyone else on this.
You shouldn’t wait too long on that if you don’t mind me saying so.
I have several pistols, 4 AK-pattern rifles, an AR-15, and a 12 gauge shotgun and I am fairly typical for the average gun owner in Texas.
Don’t forget the ammo, extra magazines, cleaning gear, and, most importantly, range/training time. All the weapons in the world won’t help if you don’t know how to use them.
