- Obama believes he'd got the better of Romney as he walked off stage to the dismay of his aides, according to a Democrat close to the campaign - The President failed to prepare properly, opting instead to visit the Hoover Dam the day before the showdown - Democrat claims he was so disdainful of Romney that he didn't think he needed to even engage with him - Had one-liners on 47% prepared but chose not to use them
watching his debate against Mitt Romney already knew it had been a disaster for him.
But what nobody knew, until now, was that Obama believed he had actually won.
In an extraordinary insight into the events leading up to the 90 minute showdown which changed the face of the election, a Democrat close to the Obama campaign today reveals that the President also did not take his debate preparation seriously, ignored the advice of senior aides and ignored one-liners that had been prepared to wound Romney.

More proof that it may take more than a crowbar to dislodge this turd from the WH on January 20th.
I bet he still thinks he won and, all the analysis is wrong.
I definately think that there will be. Yesterday on Wilkow, he had someone, he discussed his personal theory how he purposely incited the riots in Middle East by pointing out that video to try to cover for his failures. His theory was, that this was a typicaly community organizer (agitator) move but on a grandiose scale.
Thanks for sharing that info--- its like an informative education sometimes here on FR. It seems a bit indirectly similar in definition to the 'Peter Principle' except the one doing the self- promoting is the narcissist egoist individual via falsely rational self delusions.
It’s called narcissistic personality disorder.
if his perception is that distorted, we don’t need him running the US!
<He has no actual experience in financial management, business management, tax planning, consulting or any other experience besides community organizing on the streets of Chicago.
Everything you said, and one further - he is not in control of day to day WH activity and policy. I’m not saying there’s some puppet master running everything, but that he pays so little attention, and is so little in control of what’s going on, that he can’t speak from his heart and mind.
What kind of president can’t speak about his own policies without a teleprompter? Who can’t speak about his own belief system? Why couldn’t he say ‘I did this, because I believe X, and my policies are X’?
The man is an empty suit.
rofl!
The MSM/DNC excuses are going to be delicious!
“I bet he still thinks he won and, all the analysis is wrong.”
That would be some major denial if he thinks that.
But with the guy’s ego, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit.
JIM LEHRER: "Your time is up, Mr. President."
B. HUSSEIN OBAMA: "I still had five seconds left before you interrupted me!"
I think Jim Lehrer's comment there will go down as one of the most prophetic comments of this election. Good bye, Barky. Your time is up.
He was certainly trying to project that, but the truth is, he really couldn't look Romney in the eye. Coward.
Any bets on whether he shows up for Romney's inauguration? I'll go 10-1, in your favor, that he skips out.
nice!!! Hope he uses it.
So his hubris and arrogance is as bad a people have been saying in FR. It’s actually worse. He is even more self-absorbed and delusional than I thought. I guess this goes with having his thin skin and ego massaged by so many and adoring fans. NO insight.
You know, I was wondering that same thing today.
He has to show up. If he doesn't, he'll become the most disrespected ex-president in US history.
(that was gonna happen anyway, but still...)
Those are my thoughts exactly. Demote all regulat lamebrain, leftist, mainstream media (especially the NY Slimes and ASSociated Press, as well as all mainstream media) to the back of press room, and never call on them. And then bring in the “alternate” media, conservative talk show hosts, conservative bloggers, FReeRepublic, WND, and seat them at the front of room and only field questions from these folks. Ohhhh I would love to see & hear the howls of outrage from the dissed MSM.
For the first time I agreed with a Michael Moore comment "That's what you get from using John Kerry as a debate coach".
