Singing in the choir at the 10 am mass.

I am the only alto today, wish me luck.

As always, AB, I sign on this Sunday morn and there’s the Sunday Talk Show Thread, dependable, so thank you for this.

In a happy mood this week because of the wonderful performance by Obama in the debate.

The President looked vibrant and engaged while Romney stumbled and glowered.

NO WAIT!

Heh.

I am taping Meet the Depressed and Fox News Sunday as the 10 am mass falls right in the middle of my day. Evidently that’s the prime time for mass as the choir sings then quite often.

Looking forward to the return so post what’s happening and opinions and will read all after the mass.

I have read and heard the debate spin by at least 25 pundits and I must admit that your take tops them all.

Brilliant!

Yesterday I got off work around 3:15 and drove the 20 minutes to Apopka for the Romney rally. It was sunny and HOT (Florida does not recognize autumn). As we wound our way through the lines I watched and listened. I heard latinos/hispanics talking about what socialism is like and how it’s unbelievable to see it happening here. I saw a great many YOUNG people with their kids in hand. I saw about 50% WOMEN- none of whom appeared to feel there is a war being waged on them. As I listened to conversations I was amazed to hear how WELL INFORMED this group is...they KNOW.

Because we got there early we were able to get seats in the shell. The wind changed and serious clouds approached from ALL directions. We’ve been deluged every day with horrendous thunderstorms lately and it looked as though we were about to get slammed. And yet...it never happened. All around us were storms, but not over us.

The amphitheater where we sat is surround by acres of open fields. I couldn’t tell how big the crowd was so at one point I stood on my chair and looked behind us. HOLY CRAP!! As far as my eye could see were people...THOUSANDS of people. It was breathtaking. I’ve been to many political rallies over the years...but honestly haven’t ever seen something like this. People parked their cars TWO MILES away and walked to the amphitheater.

After suitable crowd-pumping by local politicians, Mitt and Ann came out. The crowd roared. Literally. Endlessly. On our feet..it went on and on.

Romney’s stump speech has improved considerably and it has red meat for us- and personal stories for indies and undecided. What struck me while listening and watching...there wasn’t a teleprompter ANYWHERE IN SIGHT!! Romney knew what he wanted to tell us- he didn’t have to be prompted by anyone. Nor did Ann, nor any of the other speakers.

By the time Mitt came out, the clouds literally had broken up and the setting sun was lighting the evening sky..

Wallace hits O’Malley for using the Romney $5 Trillion tax cuts, calls it a lie.

O’Malley defends it by saying Romney hasn’t said what Romney would cut.

Ayotte counters with 3 of Obama’s budget plans got ZERO votes in Congress.

Wallace asks O’Malley about Obama using cuts by counting money that won’t be used for the Iraqi and Afgani wars.

O’Malley counters with what Obama inherited yada yada yada.

[These 3 — Wallace, Ayotte, O’Malley — are just making noise and none of them are saying anything we have not heard over and over for the last 6 months.]

Gov. O'Malley, bitterly clinging to his Fox News coffee cup, is reciting the talking points ...
Obama inherited the worst economy in history
Romney wants takes breaks for 'big oil' while prices at the pump are at record highs
Romney lied during the debate

Surprisingly, Chris Wallace is fact checking O'Malley somewhat but O'Malley's door #3 joke was funny even though it was not accurate.

What’s up with Meet The Press? About a month before a Presidential election, and they have on Arnold, who’s peddling a book on his serial adultery? Similar question with CBS: Just one guest, a Democrat?

Paul Krugman defends Obama by saying O really wants to be the President of all the people and didn’t want to be real mean and is really such a nice guy ...

James Carville: Obama looked like he really didn’t want to be there ....

[yawwwwwwwwwn more of the same ole from the same ole consultants]

Panel concludes ‘we will see a different Obama at the next debate’

Peggy Noonon: Leher is Old School and let them go at it because he didn’t want it to be about him. [But by doing so, it became about him, Peggy.]

Krugman: Romeny was telling lie after lie after lie after lie and that got Obama all confused.

[I can’t take any more of TW .... changing the channel]

Kirstin Powers: I’m not someone who perceives him [Obama] as being 10 feet tall.

[Not now, by just a few weeks ago, she did. Poor Kirstin is finding it harder and harder to defend O, because she has begun to see through his façade — which is just styrofoam like his Greek Columns of 4 years ago.]

Obama wants to “rebuild the economy from the middle class out,”

Will the media ask for DETAIL's for Obama's brand-new, never-before-heard-of, never-tested Economic plan?
