The first time Obama ran, he promised to cut the deficit in half. Did he actually do that? Enough said.
It is surprising to see the GOP accurately describe Obummer’s statements as “LIES”.
Maybe, just maybe, they actually want to win. Of couse, Mitt really isn’t a conservative, so they’ll actually try to help him.
Any deal that counts on actions of a future Congress in combination with increased taxes now is simply a guarantee of increased taxes now. Today’s Congress can exert exactly NO required action on a future Congress. Every Congress in the future will be just as powerful and autonomous as today’s Congress. Tomorrow’s members will not take direction from a past Congress.

I’m surprised folks are letting Obama get away with his bit about the Trans-Continental Railroad. The federal Government didn’t build that, Union Pacific and Central Pacific did. The feds provided INCENTIVES via land grants (to wealthy railroad barons!) in return for building the railroad, but it was private industry that did it.
0bama is the biggest lier in the known Universe.
