Jim Lehrer moderating.
I think that would be good too, but Romney hammered his point more by looking at the person whose policies have failed this country.
I think obama will be better prepared for the next one. He probably thought Romney was going to be as easy as McCain. Romney can’t get overconfident.
Romney just said he liked PBS and Big Bird...and even the moderator....but, he was going to have to cut them all out of the budget. It’s time to fire Big Bird, Jim, and PBS! Awesome!
“Romney had a stunning performance. I only wish when Obama was going on about how he had enabled more to attend college through expanding student loans, Romney would have noted that 50% of those graduates cant find employment.”
Actually, at some point during the debate, Romney did say that graduating students can’t find jobs.
I agree.
As a fellow megalomaniac Leo, I recognize the looks on his face.
He -knew- he was losing and utterly *livid* about it...especially since he had no way to counter the superior arguments being lobbed at him, rapid fire.
He was apoplectic and on the verge of an irrational tirade.
How he kept it in is a miracle.
[I hope the handlers hide the dog tonight because *somebody* is gonna get kicked hard when the tantrum hits]
Obama's new campaign slogan. "Yes, I pick the losers. Because I care. Want a puppy?"
And much like the teachers giving students answers to the SAT tests, it didn't help.
One Romney theme tonight — be it PBS, Big Bird, or Medicare — is that if they can provide the best product, for the best price, in competition with the private sector, then they will never *need* Federal-government subsidies to survive. LOL! GWB never said that....In fact, I don’t recall even Reagan saying that!
His lecture classes must have been a real “drag”. lol
Totally true.
“...I think Obama did a line of Coke before going onstage, in order to stay awake.”
I think you are probably right about the cocaine. I figure he has a mighty appetite for the stuff. I have seen him on other occasions where I suspected the same behavior.
One thing I did notice was Michelle’s demeanor before the debates. She was visibly worried and nervous. I thought that was a bit odd. Romney’s wife was very serious but not visibly apprehensive. Quite a contrast.
The dems keep harping about oil subsidies. This was an excellent comparison of how the dems WASTED 50 years worth of the money on failed companies.
Another poster said the same thing to me as you, and I thought about it, and think you’re both absolutely RIGHT!
I love that about myself!
It was the fact that Obama didn’t do the same thing, look Romney in the eye, that for awhile seemed to make Romney look almost desperate, due to not getting a like response, that starting getting me really miffed. But Romney did the right thing!
And at this moment, everyone is talking about it.
Perhaps, I still think he LOVES the perks. POTUS has the perks of a billionaire. There is no way Obama can top them in private life, without having a LOT more money.
True. I'll back you up on that.
Obamugabe will definitely wag the dog and, like his man crush Bill Clinton (amid a Lewinsky or two) bomb a few Libyan aspirin factories in hopes of rallying people to the flag. No question if, just when ...
