I don’t think we have reached the tipping point, but we are really close.

The problem is Romney.

Anyone with half a brain knew Romney would be the WORST candidate. Thus the ABR (anybody but Romney) movement in the primaries. Unfortunately we couldn’t agree to all get behind any one candidate and let Romney divide and concure us.

Now we are reaping what GOP insider sowed in the primaries by pushing this milk toast candidate on us, when we could of had a once in a life time leader like Gingrich as our candidate which would of destroyed Obama utterly.

Thanks for posting this. Great column.

I keep my eyes wide open and have studied this stuff for a long time; I know what reality looks like and I can admit it when my side has lost. Here is my own way of saying something similar to what Selwyn Duke wrote. I have posted the following here a few times since 2008:

America is dead and gone. The final nail in the coffin was the 2008 election of an African communist as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. America had a great run. I will remember it fondly for what it was, but see no point in hanging onto the past.

The United States of America is now little more than a land mass populated by cretins, ingrates, and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors so that it may be “redistributed” to them in exchange for their votes. It is not an America worth defending anymore. That America no longer exists.

The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and there’s no going back. America is dead.
The Democrats have won.

Nothing lasts forever (shrug) and there’s no point crying or whining about it. My recommendation to every decent human left out there is to throw some cold water in your face and proceed to ‘Plan B’. Figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites who comprise the Democrat party “base” gobble it all up. Look for angles. Look for refuge. Hide what you have. Get under the radar and game the system. Every man for himself.

Completely disagree. It’s not only reasonable to think that Obama isn’t ahead, it’s completely logical and reasonable to have serious doubts that he’s ahead. The only indicator that we have that he isn’t losing this election are polls that are incredibl skewed and based on a previous election that had over the top Democrat participation. What’s unreasonable is expecting that same level of participation this year.

This election is not in the bag, but this just looks at another hit piece.

this is extremely laughable...and beyond sheer stupidity.

a campaign wouldnt even reveal their internals to the candidates mother.

and by the way, one could certainly say that the motives for posting threads like this are legitimately suspect at the very least.

Long editorial, but cutting through it he blames it on the voters. He uses the words culture, media, etc, but he means the voters. Its a bit early for that. its like the Romney 47% rule. Dont count your Dem votes until they vote.

It seems the other TNA posts today were claiming the polls were fake and Mitt was winning. Would that mean this writer is wrong? Or that the bad people just wont vote?

Well, the plain truth is that the party does not deserve followers. The party is a dark storm-cloud without rain; always speaking and promising, but never delivering on what it has said. (Thus I believe that Romney is the perfect candidate to represent the party.)

Examples:

  1. The 2ND Amendment.
    For all the talk about supporting the 2ND Amendment, when was the last time the Republican party seriously proposed repeal of infringing laws like the NFA or the GCA? Oh, they like to milk the `90s-era Assault Weapons Ban [AWB]... but they don't deserve credit for that; the AWB had a sunset clause and expired automatically, thus the Republicans had to do nothing, literally nothing.
  2. Property Rights
    When was the last time they reigned in the EPA, or handed a smack-down to "overzealous" police violating property rights in the War on Drugs?
  3. Abortion
    Why is it that when they had the Executive and the Legislative [under Bush] they didn't even propose a token gesture toward making abortion illegal.
  4. Fiscal Responsibility
    When is the last time the Republican Party considered cutting multiple agencies of the government? {Renaming and/or rolling the agency into another agency doesn't count.} When was the last time they proposed ending a big government program, like Social Security or Foodstamps?
  5. Government Accountability
    Fast & Furious. That's all that needs to be said to prove this to be a lie; the operation of arming Mexican drug cartels was, on its face, both an Unwarranted Act of War and, by definition, State Sponsored Terrorism.
  6. [Upholding] The Bill of Rights
    The single most destructive set of policies to the Bill of Rights is the War on Drugs. Period. Because of these policies the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Amendments have suffered damage. Furthermore, the Republican party is soft on Judicial Tyranny (some would call it Judicial Activism) allowing the Judiciary to, through the excuse of 'precedence', justify the Judiciary playing the children's game of telephone with our legal rights.
  7. Morality
    The GOP prides itself on being the Party of Morality. But the recent teleprompter "the ayes have it" incident from the Republican National Convention shows their true heart, just as the proposed rule changes did, to be that of a Statist.

Yes, conservatives are vastly outnumbered and will never be in control again. We have liberal Republicans running the party and that won't change because they have to woo millions to vote their way and the only way to do that is to be liberal as the entire country is liberal save for a few million actual conservatives.

This conservative website had to bend to accommodate the liberal Republican Romney in order to try to remove Hussein. That illustrates that conservatives are through.

As Patrick Henry said, “Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”

My interpretation for me, is, “I know not what course others may take; but as for me, I will live a conservative life to the end of my days.”

I will not accept the liberal ways of others because I cannot and still be true to my conservative Christian beliefs.

This is a really great article. It puts where we are in perspective. The perspective isn't pretty!

We now stand staring into the political and cultural abyss resulting from that long, long, universal march of the victory of sin and moral dissipation which is the result of man acting on his own to perfecct and rule himseslf, without seeking the help, guidance, and blessings of God, through Jesus Christ.

Alas, we are no more special than the rest of our earthly kin. We cannot (nor should we expect) a mere politician or group of them to save us. Just as this nation was birthed and blessed by God, we cannot expect it to survive and be blessed without Him.

It is not that He has left us. It is that we as a nation have left Him. The consequences of that will be cruel to all of us. If we will not allow ourselves to be led and controlled by God, we will be inevitably be led and controlled by tyrants.
