“.. it’s unreasonable to think Obama isn’t at least slightly ahead of Mitt Romney; moreover, if Romney’s internal polls told a different story, he’d certainly trumpet them.”

Completely disagree. It’s not only reasonable to think that Obama isn’t ahead, it’s completely logical and reasonable to have serious doubts that he’s ahead. The only indicator that we have that he isn’t losing this election are polls that are incredibl skewed and based on a previous election that had over the top Democrat participation. What’s unreasonable is expecting that same level of participation this year.

This election is not in the bag, but this just looks at another hit piece.

I feel about this election the way I felt about 2008 - that it didn’t matter who won as much as many think. And the article explains why.

To put it in a nutshell, the problem isn’t Obama. The problem is the electorate. And in a democracy you get the government you deserve (yes, I hate democracy and know we are in a constitutional republic, but my statement stands).

I agree with you. For Obama to be ahead, either more Democrats need to show up to vote than Republicans, or more Independents need to vote for Obama than for Romney. It’s difficult to see evidence for either of these possibilities.

The polls showing Obama ahead look to be assuming that there will be more Dem than GOP voters by a lot, like there was in 2008, but this isn’t 2008.

The latest polls predict under 30% of the turnout will be from Republicans.

And we are supposed to accept that as a reasonable assumption just because they say so.

I swear to God that if tomorrow you saw 100,000 leftists saying the sky was yellow, half the “conservatives” would say, no, it’s definitely not yellow, but it’s gotta be greenish, at least...it’s so extreme to say it’s blue! We’ll be ridiculed!
