WASHINGTON (AP) President Barack Obama is pitching a broad economic argument to voters before next week's debate with Republican opponent Mitt Romney, buying TV time in seven battleground states to promote a "new economic patriotism."
In a two-minute ad, Obama looks into the camera as he promotes an economic plan he says will create 1 million manufacturing jobs, cut oil imports and hire thousands of new teachers.
[Snip]
Obama flubbed a line at Kent State while building to his argument for keeping jobs in the United States. He mistakenly said, "I want to see us export more jobs." He quickly corrected himself, saying he meant to say "export more products."

Patrotism, to the Left, means loyalty to government.
I say..BUNK!
Ok. If you’ve got this spectacular plan that’s going to turn us around economically, why wait until your second term to implement it? What have you been doing for the past 4 years? You screw around your first term and now you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work in your second? Do you really think we’re that stupid?
Idiot.
Exactly. Just what do the ‘Progressives’ mean by ‘patrotism’? It is not ‘home of the brave, land of the free’. It’s ‘home of the gravy train, land of the freebies’. It is not the ideals that I will sacrifice for, it is not my country. I will sit back and wait for the ‘Cultural Revolution’; Preparred accordingly.
“He mistakenly (Freudian slip...the truth slips out) said, “I want to see us export more jobs.”
The correct rule of thumb is to assume that whatever a Dem says, is a lie, until proved otherwise.
The question with Obabaa and the Dems is not whether or not they are lying (common), but whether or not they are telling the truth (rare to non-existent).
In 4 years, the only thing Obabaa has improved is his golf game.
Americans appear to be (somewhat involuntarily) returning to an earlier era of thrift. Unfortunately -with the entire economy based on the continuance of profligacy - that trend will destroy what remains of the last thirty years of excess, taking a lot of good people and well-run companies with it.
Virtually all of his ads running here are about “Economic Patriotism”. It’s as if he is channeling Ross Perot from 1992. Forget what I told them over in Ohio in 2008....elect me again and this time I WILL end NAFTA and outsourcing. Honest and hope to die. Totally disgusting how the Dems trot out this dead horse every four years.
Why didn’t you create all these jobs in you first term, Obama?
"He mistakenly said, I want to see us export more jobs.
You should see the headlines this morning at NYT, WaPO, CBS, NBC, ABC over this "gaffe". I've never seen anything like it... NYT: "Will Obama's outsourcing gaffe cost him the election?"; WaPo: "Obama makes crucial gaffe in key swing state", etc. They're absolutely hammering him! (/Sarcasm, of course)
Obamugabe is supposedly running away with Ohio but is running a 2 minute propaganda piece there? Really?
Gee, sounds like even Obamugabe doesn’t believe those polls.
Alas, a lot are . . .
Here's Ubama in 2008 describing the debt incurred under President Bush as "unpatriotic".
July 3, 2008: Obama says adding $4 trillion to debt is unpatriotic
So is he questioning the patriotism of those of us who don’t agree with him??
Geez, Obama is running against the incumbent.
But only when it's controlled by Democrats.
Not loyalty, subservience.
TEAM ROMNEY - Counter this with an add showing Obama stating back in 2008 that the 10 trillion debt was UNPATRIOTIC!

Yep. All the guy does is make empty promises.
