American High School Band Marches with Hammer & Sickle (PA)

A Pennsylvania high school marching band is raising eyebrows with a halftime performance that commemorates the Russian revolution, complete with red flags, olive military-style uniforms, and giant hammers and sickles.
“St. Petersburg: 1917” is the theme for the New Oxford High School Marching Band. Ironically, the school’s athletic teams are called the Colonials and their colors are red, white and blue. The band’s website features a picture of the group with students holding a hammer and sickle.

This was a spontaneous show put on by the kids like Judy Garland and Micky Roony used to do. There was no planning or encouragement by the skool’s apparatchiks at all.

Oh they will be! Sadly most of the ones from Pennsylvania will be supporting the show.
On a brighter side I have seen one anti Obama yard sign in my neighborhood. That is a huge breakthrough!

I used to always wonder how the Nazis got away with the honorific murders of millions. Mom had gone and visited a few prison camps after the war and always said the population knew what was going on.
I had a uncle who was in a prisoner of war camp twice.
As I sit here and type this I see how they did it. The regime is in full control. They have been for years I used to laugh at what they said thinking it was funny. not now.

I’m sure he kids are astonished that this would cause a fuss. Im sure they have been taught that the Russian revolution was a joyous event and a stellar moment in world history. This could explain why half the freaking country see nothing wrong with communism.
PS: Thats a pretty poor represntation of a sickle. It looks more likea sword. And the hammer is way too big. They couldn’t even get that right.
