Witnesses described the 17-year-old boy as "shaking, growling, foaming at the mouth." According to police reports, Elijah Stai was at a McDonald's with his friend when he began to feel ill. Soon after, he "started to smash his head against the ground" and began acting "possessed," according to a witness. Two hours later, he had stopped breathing

Wonderful...So when Walter White gets waxxed, Jesse Pinkman can continue on for a few more seasons with this little concoction.
hmmm...I guess if I knew who those people were, it would make sense.
Darwin wins again.

I don’t understand today’s generation. Back in my day, we did drugs that made you feel good.
HA!

I can’t help but wonder if we wouldn’t have been better off just letting the druggies have their pot 50 years ago. Regulate it, and keep them from hurting themselves or others and let them burn out.
Instead we have far, far worse drugs today that we can’t even control, organized crime worse than prohibition, and far more death and destruction.
The older I get, the more I think our cure is worse than the original disease.

Feel good? Back in my days of the 1960s and ‘70s I remember many people who ODd on LSD and other drugs. Several famous actors died of the stuff back then, and several locals also died, one who was huffing gas.
I have NEVER tried any drugs. I never felt a need for it.
I like to think that as a teenager I would not have touched such a drug. I’ve always been a very cautious individual. Aside from a bicycle accident at age 10 (just some scratches but painful nevertheless). I’ve never been injured. I never took stupid chances. No big secret to it.
An unintended consequence of the WOD
The equivalent illegal drugs cost more than gold so kids and poor people end up trying the unknown drugs that are still legal. They are sold as bath salts, inscence, etc and are all labeled “not for human consumption.
Most of these “legal” drugs are far more damaging, cause more impairment and are more addictive than the illegal ones they mean to replace.
These People that are selling this crap to our kids should get the death penalty.
Think about the amount of lives that have been destroyed by the illegal drug trade and the expense it take to care for these abusers.
Yeah but as long as we dont have hoards of zombie stoners breaking into houses and rapin' the women folk it is all worth it right? s/
Yeah, at least what I remember of those days
If you meant to suggest that anyone ever died as a direct result of OD’ing on LSD, I’d love to have a citation to that case since, so far as I know, it’s about physically impossible. I’m not suggesting it’s good for you or harmless but I’m just asking, perhaps I misread your response.
People have put themselves in some dangerous situations due to LSD. Art Linkletter’s daughter Diane walked out her sixth story kitchen’s window while at UCLA.
People drive drunk, too. What’s your point?
I don’t know of anyone dying from an OD on LSD, but I personally know of two LSD users that blew their brains out with a gun. Both had suffered flashbacks.
