President Obama said Wednesday he strongly condemns the “outrageous attack” by a mob in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
“Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers,” Mr. Obama said in a statement. “They exemplified America’s commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.”
Mr. Stevens and three other Americans were killed Tuesday in an attack on the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi by protesters angry over a film that ridiculed Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

They DID get an apology, the fact that they took down their tweet and DC apologized for the apology means nothing.
And, frankly, it disturbs me that an embassy would say anything to anyone via any method that was not OK’d by the administration. Behavior like that is a recipe for disaster. OMG, esp. in a place like Egypt.

Interesting how it all happened on 9-11 ... turning Bibi down for a meeting, the American flag torn down at the Egyptian embassy, Americans killed in Libya. He’s been getting decent ratings on national security, mostly because of tooting his own horn on bin Laden .... let’s see what happens now. Obama has been trying to keep the lid on a pot of troubles that is close to boiling over, domestic and foreign, and hoping the boilover will happen after the elections. It’s happening before and I hope the American people throw this buffoon out of office.
