The White House has brushed aside an offer by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with President Obama later this month, Israeli officials told Fox News. The apparent snub came despite a state of heightened alert over Iran’s nuclear program and the possibility of Israeli action.
Sources said Netanyahu, though he plans to be in New York City during his brief stay, was offering to travel to D.C. to make the meeting happen. However, the White House apparently said Obama’s tight schedule – the president is in the middle of a feverish campaign schedule -- would make a meeting difficult.
The turn-down comes amid increasing international anxiety about Iran’s nuclear program. The U.N. reportedly has found new intelligence showing Iran is moving toward nuclear weapon capability.
But the exchange between the White House and the prime minister’s office is the most recent in what is seen as a cool, if not strained, relationship between Obama and Netanyahu, despite Israel being considered one of the United State’s closest allies.
One well-placed Jewish-American leader told Fox News that the White House has not yet fully ruled out moving things around on the schedule in order to accommodate Netanyahu – but that as of now, Obama is scheduled to be on the campaign trail during the window of time when Netanyahu can make it to Washington.

This is so much the case. This is why I say America is no longer the good guys. We have somehow become the enemy. Not all of us certainly, but a big enough percentage of the population and all of the government is exactly that.

What I meant by this is that the communist revolutionairies that we find ourselves infested with believe that the USA must be unbuilt before it can be rebuilt as they want it, and that I have no love for these people whatsoever.
What many people do not realize is that the unbuilding of America is going to mean the death of a great many people, including the death of those who may currently support such an unbuilding. Once the communists have no further use for their useful idiots, they will kill them. They certainly are not going to support their lazy do nothing arses.
I do believe that we are in for a very serious stretch of bad times. I do not believe that there is any avoiding it now, and perhaps there shouldn’t be any avoiding it. People are going to have to learn.
How will it reflect on Obama if Israel attacks Iran mere days after Obama childishly refused to meet with Netanyahu? On second thought, Americans will still love him because he’s just too cool!
If Israel launches a strike against Iran, Netanyahu MUST speak out publicly against Obama. He cannot allow Obama to posture and get reelected as some kind of ally to Israel when he's been their enemy all this time.
In my daydreams I imagine there's a group of alarmed CIA veterans orchestrating world affairs to kill Obama's election chances. I like to daydream.
He chose campaigning over meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel when they are dealing with a difficult situation with Iran. What was sincere was removing the part about Jerusalem being Israel’s capital in the platform. I was insincere was putting it back in despite the vote in the hall to save face.
