Insist GOP Wives Need Her Fashion Sense
The fashionistas in the objective press displayed their favoritism by boosting Michelle Obamas convention speech dress and quoted flagrant Michelle-boosters like Kate Betts, who insisted whatever stylishness the Republican women had they owed to the pioneering Mrs. Obama.
On Wednesday, the Associated Press posted a story headlined, Michelle Obama gets raves for Tracy Reese dress, and out came the bare-arms worship:
First lady Michelle Obama got rave reviews for the custom-made Tracy Reese pink and copper dress she wore while giving a tribute to her husband at the Democratic National Convention. The sleeveless dress showed off Mrs. Obama's famously toned arms and the length modestly skirted her knees.
The dress also showed off Mrs. Obamas famously slavish admirers in the press corps. The Washington Post Express tabloid interviewed Reese for Fridays edition and highlighted in bold text her feelings on the First Lady: She actually has a sense of personal style, and shes not bound by first-lady dictates. Its refreshing....youre used to them all wearing a red suit.

Doesn’t matter what a Wookie wears, they are still a Wookie. I get so sick of the over-the-top fawning for this completely not-special person. She does, and has done, nothing to deserve all this praise.
If I were a black woman, or black man for that matter, I would be positively incensed.
It was a nice expensive dress which successfully hid the “Broad Beam” from the waist down.
Hmmmm .... haven’t heard the media commenting on THIS dress .... or how ‘good’ Michelle looks in it .....

If Mooselle was white and dressed like she does, she would be laughed out of DC. The woman has no class or taste. In January when they are living in Hawaii, she can wear t-shirts, ugly shorts and flip-flops and no one will care.
They used the critique of clothes to ridicule Palin.
Is there anyone (except liberals) who isn't sick of hearing this woman's whining voice?
Michelle Obama Quote:"Don't even talk to me about it (being First Lady of the USA), it's hell. I can't stand it."
As my late husband would say “She’s so bow-legged, she couldn’t hem a hog up in a ditch.”
Spent a little more on the outfit than Mrs. Romney did on that tee shirt she got so much flak for.
My memory is shot these days, but I don’t recall the media going ga-ga over Laura Bush’s dresses.
I miss Laura Bush. Now there was a First Lady who knew how to dress properly.
For all this fawning over Moo’s fashion sense I don’t see anyone rushing out to dress like her. Their actions speak louder than do their words.
Yikes! That “tank top” cut makes her shoulders look even broader than they are. It also makes the dress look more appropriate for an evening patio party.
That said, it’s nicer than the clown costumes she usually wears.
My mama always told me that you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear..
I’ve rarely seen her looking good.
Anyone with a butt that big should not wear 90% of the crap she does.
Freepers have a wonderful photo file of Michelle’s dressing style for which she will always be remembered.
Yeah, I thought the dress was pretty. They also did a nice job with her hair and makeup. But I had the opposite problem from her shoulders. I thought she looked good behind the podium, but away, dang, that's a "wide stance".
Agreed...were she to walk down the street naked, her entire posterior would be covered with lipstick.
You can put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig. You can spend a ton of $$$$$$$ on the First Frump and she still can’t stand like a lady, walk like a lady or behave like a lady.
