The largest-circulation newspaper in the United States, the Wall Street Journal, has penned a scathing editorial against the Obama Administration's handling of the crisis with Iran, saying that its attitude is pushing the Jewish state to strike Iran on its own.
Following Gen. Martin Dempsey's statement that "I dont want to be complicit" if Israel chooses to attack Iran, the Journal writes acidly: We dont know what exactly Gen. Dempsey thinks American non-complicity might entail in the event of a strike. Should the Administration refuse to resupply Israel with jets and bombs, or condemn an Israeli strike at the U.N.? Nor do we know if the General was conducting freelance diplomacy or sending a signal from an Administration that feels the same way but doesnt want to say so during a political season."
The editorial sides with Israel, and says it's no wonder the Israelis are upset at the U.S. Administration. "Its one thing to hear from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that he wants to wipe you off the map: At least it has the ring of honesty. Its quite another to hear from President Obama that he has your back, even as his Administration tries to sell to the public a make-believe world in which Irans nuclear intentions are potentially peaceful, sanctions are working and diplomacy hasnt failed after three and half years."

What alliances are you talking about?
There is no point or profit in Israel waiting until after the US election. If Romney wins, they will still face an Obama presidency until January, that might be too late. If Obama wins, they will face an even more obstinate president. Regarding the timing, Israel must simply act in its own self interest.
Many might be surprised at the form that the attack on Iran takes. In fact, cyber warfare has been going on for some time. Look for that to increase and take some unusual forms. Why bomb an oil refinery when you can plant a computer virus that blows it up? Why bomb a power plant when you can infect the whole grid or use a non-nuclear EMP weapon mounted on a drone or a cruise missle to kill all the power?
I understand your point. Last thing on earth we need is another war. Except maybe a nuclear Iran.
Bush dithered with Iran. Yes, his hands were full, already. obama has done worse. Resupply of Israel should they act should be a foregone conclusion. As of now, it isn’t. The longer we (the rest of the world) have waited the worse a set of bad choices have gotten.
Step one on the path to recovery, whatever that winds up being, is replacing obama. God willing, that first step will be taken this November/next January.
Bush's biggest problem was that his administration was filled with @ssholes who spent a good chunk of their careers making ludicrous claims that a war in Iraq would be a "cakewalk," and that Iraqis would welcome U.S. soldiers with open arms as liberators. The U.S. also hitched its wagon in Iraq to a guy (Ahmed Chalabi) who may very well have been an Iranian and/or Shi'ite mole, for all intents and purposes.
RE: Romney needs to let Dempsey know that he should have his bags packed come next Jan 20. Not just from his current position, but from his commission.
I could not agree more. Dempsey is an insult to his uniform. OIF vet
As a detached observer of the passing parade, for the life of me, I can’t see how an intelligent American of Jewish descent can support Obama’s policies. But stranger things have happened, and I am sure will happen before I pack it in.

that language is simply unacceptable. Think about what this world would look like today had they not been fought. The bombings on the streets in Baghdad would be on American streets instead. Taliban and AQ would be huge and laying siege throughout the US and Europe. Take off the blinders and think. And remember the Armed Forces who have given their all to keep a lid on those miserable terrorists who seek your death - and mine.
Took me 46 years to get home.
Is there a link?

She doesn't lay wood on hussein with each editorial, probably every other editorial.
Got it... thanks!
Bushs greatest problem ,one this is much worse now, is an unwillness to name the TRUE enemy : Islam.
I'm still sitting here wondering how the U.S. government ever conned the American people to support a "war on terror" against Iraq even while the radical Islamic royal family sits unscathed in Saudi Arabia and has U.S. presidents come and kiss their @sses.
LOL. You won’t find anyone in a prominent position in the U.S. government who believes that.
“If you have liberal Jewish friends that support a pro-death ideology, I dont care what they call themselves, they are NOT Jews. They are atheists. Judaism does not support abortion in any way, shape, or form.”
JINO was coined to describe such Jews.
Don’t those Fort Hood widows know respecting diversity is more important than calling an evil religion “evil”? /sarcasm
They'll vote for Obama... Dead babies, dead Jews, what's the difference?
Besides, those Israelis are "bad Jews," for not just sitting back and letting themselves be slaughtered, like the "good Jews" did in the Holocaust. After all, you can't be a victim if you're not dead.

Orthodox Judaism DOES support abortion, in the specific case that the woman's life is genuinely endangered by the pregnancy. It's only in incredibly rare cases.

And the Democrat's losses in 2010 were based on pulling troops out of Iraq ?
