The largest-circulation newspaper in the United States, the Wall Street Journal, has penned a scathing editorial against the Obama Administration's handling of the crisis with Iran, saying that its attitude is pushing the Jewish state to strike Iran on its own.
Following Gen. Martin Dempsey's statement that "I don’t want to be complicit" if Israel chooses to attack Iran, the Journal writes acidly: ”We don’t know what exactly Gen. Dempsey thinks American non-complicity might entail in the event of a strike. Should the Administration refuse to resupply Israel with jets and bombs, or condemn an Israeli strike at the U.N.? Nor do we know if the General was conducting freelance diplomacy or sending a signal from an Administration that feels the same way but doesn’t want to say so during a political season."
The editorial sides with Israel, and says it's no wonder the Israelis are upset at the U.S. Administration. "It’s one thing to hear from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that he wants to wipe you off the map: At least it has the ring of honesty. It’s quite another to hear from President Obama that he has your back, even as his Administration tries to sell to the public a make-believe world in which Iran’s nuclear intentions are potentially peaceful, sanctions are working and diplomacy hasn’t failed after three and half years."

My liberal Jewish friends are having a cow. Vote for Obama because he supports their pro-death ideology or vote against Obama because he is throwing Israel under the bus.
Romney needs to let Dempsey know that he should have his bags packed come next Jan 20. Not just from his current position, but from his commission.

If you have liberal Jewish friends that support a pro-death ideology, I don’t care what they call themselves, they are NOT Jews. They are atheists. Judaism does not support abortion in any way, shape, or form.
Bear in mind, while the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of the news maintains a left-wing, liberal perspective, it’s Editorial Board tend to be staunchly conservative.
The editorial is correct, but doesn’t tell us the worse news.
A joint US/Israel military exercise planned for October 2012 is now scaled back. The scale back means none of our tankers for air refueling will be anywhere near the mid-east, no Aegis cruisers with anti-missile defense will be near Israel and some US Patriot batteries will go, but with no crews for radar or firing. This means if Israel attacks on its own, no US help is available, not even defense for Iranian strike backs on Israeli cities.
Obama wants Israel off the map.

Isn't it possible that Dempsey is thinking of American interests? Our economy is on the edge of collapse and another war could be an existential threat to our economy. As Rice said she considers our economy to be the foundation of our strength. We need our strength, Israel must consider that in arriving at its decision.

Plus the US radar located in Israel can see a plane or missile go up over Iran, but the news stays in US hands, Israel gets no real time warning, any release goes through Washington. This delay means incoming will hit Israel before US launch warnings.
How easily we conservatives forget that the GOP losses in 2006 and 2008 were largely attributable to the fact that voters were already sick of this sh!t way back then.
