It looks like the tracking lines, so close for so long, have crossed, in Romney’s favor.

We have to work so that they do not cross again.

Obama and his ilk have to go—for all of our sakes and the sake of America.

This was the first Republican Convention in history to not mention the troops. That is kinda sad. I don’t know what they were thinking.

The key here is the 10% undecided. Which camp will they ultimately end up in? Historically, the undecideds ultimately break for the challenger by at least 2-1 margin. That comes to roughly a 53-47% Romney margin. If Romney gets them all, it's a 56-44% blowout. I think it's safe to say that Obama will get his 40-45% no matter what. The fact that he can't seem to climb much above 44% in all these polls is not a good sign for him.

Not sure what Obama can say or do in the coming week to bring the undecided to his camp. His hope and change spiel of 2008 turned out to be empty slogans and broken promises. What is he going to tell us Thursday night that will move him above 44%?

His only hope is to try and demonize the Romney/Ryan ticket and scare America into believing that they are better off with another four years of Obama. That's a tall order and Romney/Ryan have done an excellent job inoculating themselves against such an approach. Attempting to smear the Romney/Ryan ticket next week will only come across as being nasty, vindicative and desperate.

Yes, Thursday night looks to be quite the "cult of personality" spectacle. Obama will pack his stadium with screaming admirers and fainting ladies. He will look like a rock star walking out there and there will be standing ovation after standing ovation. But unlike 2008, he will come across to most of America as a washed-up rock star. I wonder if Obama will drag out those styrofoam Greek columns again!

We watched c-span because they started earlier, there were no “interviews” and no commercials. It was great!

They were bookends. Clint minimized and marginalized Obama, Romney enhanced his own image and looked presidential. Synergy, I think it’s called.

With a 47-44 lead, there is a difference of 3%.

With a margin of error of plus/minus 3%, that means it’s a wash, and still a statistical dead heat, although I’d rather be the 47 than the 44.

From Rasmussen: “The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.”

As always the real issues remain:

1. Electoral votes instead of national poll

2. Undecided voters

3. Other category of voters.

He doesn’t need to keep that gorgeous lady off tv.

She’s an ASSET and HE knows it.

She’s not the only one...Scott Walker said it made him cringe (the skit).

Shall we ban Scott Walker from TV?

Here’s the deal, plain and simple. Many different kinds of folks will end up voting against Obama or for Romney...whatever. Not everyone cared for the skit. It’s fine, if you liked it, and I personally enjoyed it, but not everyone thinks and reacts alike.

Tell you what, if people felt either way about it, but will still vote to get Obama out, then both ways of feeling are fine with me.

And that’s what is going to happen, Lord willing.

To demand uniformity of love for Clint’s skit and make anyone out of step shut up, is not the way to go.

IMO.

Well my dear, I hope your post is mainly directed to the second person in the to box, because my take wasn't the same.

Michelle Malkin first balked at seeing Eastwood's brilliant skit as positive and fantastic, but now understands the great impact it has.

A performance as simple as this was takes some people a bit of time to understand it's significance.

It was the most important part of the convention IMO.

The reaction of the audience was phenomonol!

Sure, some people won't/don't “get it,” it takes a certain creative mindset to understand the depth and importance of the Eastwooding.

If he wins, this country is done with. This is our last chance.

I hope not. I am not convinced R&R are going to do the tough reforms needed. I pray I am wrong.

I am not convinced either but I know the answer regarding Zero.

Heading toward the cliff at 200 mph decelerating is better then heading toward the cliff at 1000 mph and accelerating.

With R&R we still have an opportunity to overcome the momentum toward becoming Greece (or any of the PIIGS). We still aren't quite majority layabout Euros but we are rapidly getting there.

“I just heard on the news that gas prices are expected to fall by 20 cents by Oct. Surprise, surprise! October Surprise!”

Yeah, like that is going to make a difference. I can’t see anyone saying, “I was paying $4.00 a gallon back in September but now I’m paying only $3.80 a gallon. 0bama must be doing something right! I’ll vote for him.”.....not going to happen.

Fair enough. Skepticism is healthy and proper.

But we all know damn good and well that O&B isn't about to undertake any meaningful reform -- and are absolutely intent on making it worse.

Imagine what the real numbers are. Obama must be at least 10 points behind.

I still don’t understand why the republicans don’t do anything to stop him. I don’t understand how democrat politicians help him when they know he’s creating an America they wouldn’t want their grandchildren to live in.

**
I think that the Republicans HAVE, within all honest limits, done and reported EVERYTHING this F-UP has done ...it’s just that F-UP Americans don’t care. They want a “man of color” leading them ...even if he’s leading them off the cliff. They are STUPID, and they DON’T CARE how bad he is. He could rape infants, and they still would not care. It’s allllllll about gettin’ back at evil white people AND transforming America into a green an’gimme utopia, which they know damn well doesn’t work ....but they JUST think that if THEY try it, it will work this time.

But it won’t.

She can be at times, but I’d much rather just watch Romney and Ryan operate together and leave the wives and families OUT OF IT.

I’m really tired, anyway, of always having “The Wife” shoved down our throats. Do corporations interview both husband and wife for important positions??? Hell no. No one sees your wife, unless it’s the annual company picnic.

Who CARES about these wives and kids ...I want to know how fast the presidential team is going to undo this monstrosity government and get back to following the Constitution. I don’t care about Ann’s breast cancer ..or who her designer is. I just don’t effin CARE.

I think this your typical post-convention bump and Obama will also get one next weekend. Wait until mid-September to see if either bump has any legs.
