Gay Boy Scouts or Fake Duke LaCrosse Rapes: I Choose Conservative Christian Akins over Romney
Self | 24 Aug 12 | Xzins

Posted on 08/21/2012 7:08:56 PM PDT by xzins

Oh how soon we forget!

Sean Hannity was in the lead on the story throughout. False accusations of rape against Duke Lacrosse players made headline news. Then we learned she was pregnant. Now disbarred District Attorney Michael Nifong withheld crucial DNA evidence that proved not one of the accused had been with the accuser sexually. Subsequent DNA tests demonstrated that there would be no paternity liability on the part of any of them. She was not impregnated during her fake rape. Apparently, that happened later at her discretion.

In short, it was not a LEGITIMATE rape. In fact, it was so illegitimate that the DA lost his reputation, his office, his license, and his career.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Mitt Romney has gone on record continuing his support of a gay boy scout organization. This, of course -- continuing our sports theme -- is a triple double. Romney needed something to fit snugly between his past and present support for a gay military and gay adoption by gay couples.

Firestorm?

Nah, Romney’s homosexualism was just “fine and dandy AOK.” After all it wasn't in defense of innocent life as was Representative Todd Akins' comment that there's a difference between fake rape and legitimate rape. (See Lacrosse example above.) Also, Akins had the temerity to suggest that a receptive female partner in a willing relationship is more likely to become pregnant than is a violently assaulted woman. There is a certain hopeful logic to that whether or not one knows that violent rape does result in pregnancy.

More to the point is Akins' intent. If there were mistakes made in a rush of words, were they mistakes of the head or mistakes of the heart?

This consistently life-affirming, conservative Christian legislator has huge conservative ratings with the American Conservative Union. A graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis, a school renowned as a bastion of traditional, bible-believing Christianity, Representative Akins earned a Master of Divinity. It is rare for one to pursue a Master of Divinity without some sense of divine calling. After all, it is the preparatory degree for ordained ministry. Also, it is among the lengthiest of masters degrees, requiring over 90 semester hours for completion when most others are in the 35-40 hour range. Finally, Akins was only addressing the subject because he was trying to make a pro-life point about saving the life of a baby resulting from rape.

Of course, this is circumstantial evidence about the intent of Representative Akins' heart. In any case, he was advocating immoral behavior as is Mitt Romney’s homosexualism.

So, if I was given the chance to replace one and keep the other....I'd be showing Boy Scout Mitt the door.

It’s idiots like Akin who drive legitimate victims into the arms of Planned Parenthood and other murderers who will understand an empathize.

The reality is that right now babies are saved by sidewalk counselors one at a time, and brave women who have been raped choose to bring babies to term and should be applauded and not have their integrity questioned.

Here’s one example...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2191804/Shauna-Prewitt-Attorney-rape-victim-pens-open-letter-Todd-Akin.html

I can find more. Akin doesn’t have charity or truth on his side here.

Rape doesn’t not prevent pregnancy and the message should be that rape should not prevent a mother’s instincts to protect her child.

I’m voting for a conservative for president. I decided a few months ago that I cannot support any of Tom’s liberal competitors.

If I lived in Missouri, I would vote for a conservative for Senate. If there is a better conservative than Akin, I would consider voting for someone else. But, if Akin is the best conservative in the race, I’d stick with him. He’s a fighter.

OK, go ahead and damn this Christian man to hell because of his 100% pro-life stance, and his clumsy interview answer.

I’m tired of trying to correct your misunderstandings and misrepresentations.

I would like to see Obama defeated because I would enjoy seeing how that raging narcissist would behave. Unfortunately, though, Obama is not THE problem. He is a manifestation of the problem, and the problem is the deterioration of our culture that has gone on for many decades and that is evidently on FR.

We have perhaps a total of $200 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities through SS, Medicare, government pensions, etc. Apart from defense, there is very little that the government lawfully spends money on. Not one “conservative” politician has had the courage to tell people the truth about the catastrophe that is coming, and there is probably not even a majority on FR for eliminated unlawful spending.

So, I agree. Obama needs to be defeated, but defeating Obama won’t solve the problem.

All ‘religions’ that call their operatives “priest” are clearly luciferian in their makeup.

Christ is our only priest; no one else can offer a saving sacrifice. It is notable that Judaism no longer uses that term that was once quite legitimate for them.

Yes, of course there are other factors that may intervene, but I think he was expecting a more general answer.

If you were being more thoughtful, you would realize that a Republican party that could make Mittens the nominee is as responsible for the Obamaization of America as the Obama Democrats.

To call someone a ‘luciferian’ implies that they intentionally follow lucifer. Romney and others might not be properly following a Christian path but it's quite another story to say they follow satan. You (or a leader in your church) might think it sounds profound to broadly throw such a toxic term around, but if your goal, and I'm sure it is if you are a true Christian, is to be a solid witness to Christ and bring people to him rather than chase them away, I'd suggest a more tactful approach (as well as factual).

Here’s the tragedy...

There is at least one woman, maybe more, but at least one woman in America who will visit an abortion clinic this weekend and not make eye contact with a sidewalk counselor, and not have the dialogue that she needs to have to choose life...

In part, because terrified of being called a liar if she says she was raped.

Rep. Akin’s ignorance of biology and more importantly psychology is going to lead to more abortions THIS WEEKEND.

Anyone care to defend the results and the reality of his gaffe?

Homosexualism is another facet of the communist agenda:

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

Sure. You have a high opinion of the information transfer that's taking place in America.

I've watched too many "man on the street" interviews in which the respondents don't know their vice-president, senators, representatives, and other simple basic facts of politics and current events.

I'm betting the bulk of Americans don't even know Akin, what he said, or anything about this.

It makes perfect sense, too. Totally demoralize a culture and get them focused on their own selfishness.

You’re talking about things that you do not understand.

They’re not just misinformed, they sincerely believe that Lucifer is the benevolent one, and that he will be victorious.

No one that has even a minimal understanding of the word of God would allow themselves to be called a priest, nor seek the counsel of one who does.

“Really... you would choose a guy who would offer an absolute defense to a rapist who impregnated his victim?”

The guy didn’t defend rapists. He defended the unborn!
(that said... he communicate correctly and that’s why he’s in trouble)

>> “Here’s the tragedy...” <<

.
You present a false dilemma.

The tragedy here is that people like you are able to spread this viperous dialogue as any kind of reality.

Akin is apparently such a solid pro life candidate that the pro-abort crowd feels that they have to destroy him at any cost. His remark was clumsy, but totally innocuous.
