Hillary is not dumb enough to hop aboard this sinking ship

She’s not stupid.
She sees the writing on the wall.
She does not want to be affiliated with a losing ticket.......

On F&F this morning, Chris Wallace doubted the veracity of this story.

He said, if they were going to change the VP, they would have done it months ago. Any attempt to do it now would reek of desperation.

I am of the same opinion.

She might have been offered and turned it down a few months ago. Recall the headlines of her being tired of politics, yada yada yada. Either she doesn’t want to go down as the VP on the sinking ship as it would screw with her 2016 ambition, or she really does want out of politics. Even she realizes that being Obama’s vp would be difficult to defend, if she did run in 2016, because he is offering nothing to improve the job situation, the economy, trade, energy, or anything else.

I would guess that many of her inner circle were trying to get her to challenge Obama. But, she would have had to go through the primary season for that. Obama possibly made the offer then to sidetract a direct challenge from her.

Scary to think; but Obama could actually give himself a huge boost if he picked a sharp VP candidate.

I had kind of thought this was silly thinking; but realized this morning he could get a lot of traction with a bold move and pick someone with energy and intellect.

I don't think it will happen. But there is really no downside to dumping Biden. He would instantly shift the spotlight to him if he did dump Biden however.

I find it amusing that we are now getting stories about Hillary turning down the ‘job’ TWO weeks ago. These stories coming less than a week after Sarah Palin literally poisoned the well for them. Y’all know who Sarah Palin is don’t you? You know the woman the Democrats and GOP-E keep telling us is just oh so ignorant.

What a surprise. Hillary doesn't want to climb aboard and save Obama's sinking ship.

I wouldn't be surprised if she strung Obama along for a couple of weeks, letting the rumors get out, just to mess with his mind.

As I observed earlier in the thread entitled "White House says Obama will stick with Biden as running mate", was in truth probably more like "White House says admits Obama will stick is stuck with Biden as running mate".

Why is Hillary the only name being mentioned as a replacement for Biden? Is the democrat party so devoid of talent that there's no one else with better credentials than Slo-Joe?
Hillary is a member of this failed administration. I don't really see how her addition to the ticket would be much of a game changer.

I figured it was pretty much a crock when they started talking about how Hillary wouldn't want to be on the ticket because she'd have to defend Obama's 'far left wing agenda'. Where does Obama's agenda differ from Clinton's in any regard? Healthcare? Clinton was for it years ago. Taxing the rich? Clinton was for that years ago. Spending on social programs and education? Clinton was for that years ago. Obama's agenda is Clinton's agenda and vice versa.

I think Clinton doesn't want it because it's a lose-lose proposition for her. She's had a nice run as Secretary of State. She's going out on top in terms of popularity. She may be back in 2016 but I have my doubts about even that.

LOL — Obama is SUCH an idiot! I hate her politics, but the woman is shrewd... I would’ve LOVED to see the look on Obama’s face when she denied him! I hope she literally laughed in his face!!
