Romney will announce his choice for Vice President in Norfolk, Virginia at 8:45am EST, Romney campaign spokesman Lenny Alcivar told reporters in an email this evening.
The announcement is being made at the USS Wisconsin. Its still unclear whom he will choose, but the odds that it is Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., seemed to increase when National Reviews Robert Costa noted that a charter plane flew from Boston to Ryans hometown of Janesville, Wis., today.

“Can someone please summarize whats really, really bad about Ryan?”
He’s not “bad,” but he will not electrify voters like a Palin — or perhaps a Rubio. I don’t see the south identifying much with Ryan from Wisconsin. If Romney wins with anyone other than Rubio or McConnell, it will surely be an all out anti-Obama vote.

Good points, although I have to mildly disagree about the food stamps. You and I both know that certain demographics are more comfortable with food stamps and other benefits in perpetuity than they would be ever working (even for significant money).

No, that’s a false dilemma. Seems to me he needs to pick a VP who won’t inflame stereotypical anti-Republican sentiment.

The key to this whole deal is getting Obama out of their. I fear our country may not survive if we don’t. We do have a fight with the RINOs, but that must come later.

I was almost prepared to stay home too, but if Romney picks Ryan-or Rubio or Jindal- I will RUN to my polling place with hope for the future. If we stay home, there is NO hope!
Do you realize what you wrote? If we stay home there is no hope. Yet you're prepared to stay home if Romney doesn't pick Ryan, Rubio or Jindal. If there's NO HOPE (and, there will be NO HOPE if Obama wins), then why would you even consider staying home when your vote could be part of the deciding factor? Good grief. Get a clue!!!!
