If the recent polls have any veracity, which I somewhat doubt, Romney is dropping. He desparately needs to choose a VP that will energize conservatives, way above and beyond the way Romney himself does not inspire conservatives. I think that Ryan will do just that, and I pray that it is Ryan.

I dont trust the BS polls going around. The Fox News poll is totally bogus..I’m supposed to believe that 13 percent of tea party supporters will vote for Obama..Fox News promotes Obama because it gives them ratings..I trust the Rasmussen poll much more which shows Romney in the lead nationally..I do agree that Ryan will bring MUCH needed energy into this campaign. He will totally destroy Biden, making him into an even bigger blubbering idiot than he already is

Romney eliminates a threat to his liberal ways if he removes Ryan from the House. When Ryan goes so does his austere budget plans. Stick Ryan in VP office to get him out of the way.

So, by your logic, he should pick Pelosi?

All the same. He didn’t win on substance. It was all packaging.

It’s in Virginia but at the U.S.S. Wisconsin.

No, he is eliminating a conservative threat by removing Ryan from the House. Ryan was gung ho to do whatever had to be done to save the country and liberal Romney does not want to let Ryan do that. Whoever takes over after Ryan will not be as strong as Ryan and that’s what liberal Romney wants.

Virginia Beach is one town over from Norfolk. Looks like it’s going to be McDonnell.
If so, it’s a poor choice. McDonnell is competent but dull. Moderately conservative but quiet about it. Add to the fact that he pushed an incredibly unpopular set of road tolls in Hampton Roads, and he might lose rather than win VA as a result.

“I wouldnt really have a problem with this choice, especially given that this election could very well hinge on the outcome in Virginia.”
You would think this is a good choice...if you weren’t from VA.
Governors only serve one term in VA. Most people who are not into politics in VA would be hard pressed to even name our governor. Other than Hampton Roads where he ticked off most of the populace with his toll deal. “Tollbooth Bob” is his nickname.

romney is losing every poll. Even fox he is down 9. He is losing Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia. Because he has no message. He is a bad candidate. He is a rino and the Tea Party hates him . The Tea Party rules. Look at what the Tea Party did in Texas with Senator Cruz? He is desperate and that is why he has chosen Ryan. But the Tea Party wants to hear romney on abortion and globalism and taxes and welfare and etc. Instead he hides in the ditch. I tell you , he is history in a book ,like Mc Amnesty and Dole if he doesnt come out on these issues. No more Iraqs!! No more baby killing and weak Supreme Court nominees like roberts!! And veto spending bills not like bush !! nonsense!! you must start paying closer attention !!

Stick Ryan in VP office to get him out of the way that is one of the most asinine statements I've ever seen....Let's see now....choose Ryan, get him out of the congress, lose the election (or possibly win the election because of Ryan)....buy he's no longer a threat. O.K., I guess!!
