I don’t like it. It is conceding Obama’s assertion that we are in a state of class warfare.
GREAT news!
WE ARE in a state of class warfare, have been for a VERY long time, and will remain in one for so long as we continue to abide the income tax and the IRS!
The American people need an education on economics. Glad to see Romney is willing to try to provide it.
Not sure if there is enough time for it to truly be effective between now and November, but it desperately needs to be done.
Oh, please! What next... a thousand points of light? This is nothing but a gimmick.
I can tell ol’ Oven Mitt exactly what government needs to do - get the heck out of the way. Cut government to the bone, lower taxes, and stop the EPA. The only way government can help the economy is to restrict itself to its core function of law enforcement and defense. Too many people feeding at the trough for that to happen, but I can dream.
The best thing he can do for the middle class is the first thing he can do for the middle class - defeat Obama.
Of course it's a gimmick. All election politicking is theatre.
That doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. He's (a) spending time in swing states, (b) talking about how he will improve the economy and (c) giving swing state voters a contrast to Obama's shrill failed ideas.
What's not to like?
A stupid waste of money.
This is what I’m talking about. Romney should be at 8 of those over the 2 day period.
He should borrow Santorum’s pickup truck.
Because he can’t do what he promises. He doesn’t have the intestinal fortitude. Like all other pols, he will promise the moon and some will believe it. Then when things don’t work out the way these gullible people thought, they will elect the next charlatan who promises what he can’t deliver.
It’s been a long time since any pol told the truth and stuck to it. Perhaps Americans really can’t handle the truth.
How about a “Get The Hell Outta The Way” event?
We have to stop conceding the language and concepts they put forth. One of the great things about this country is that we do not have a “class” system. We have people who are poor who may or may not become rich, we have people who are rich who may blow it all and become poor, we have people in between. We don’t have “classes” of people. It is this thinking that you are “IN” a particular “CLASS” that takes away your power, takes away the idea that you have it in your hands to be wherever you want to be, that you are the master of your own fate, not stuck inside some class system. “Class” is a word that puts a black box around your mind and your potential.
Obama is swinging with class warfare. You have to parry that move. Obama’s played all the ammunition he seems to have and is desperate. Romney cannot let up.
I’m not crazy about him, but he’s running a very aggressive and solid campaign. The MSM and Obama Regime are in a tizzy about it. He just keeps winning.
Romney’s inside Obama’s OODA loop.
What about the poor struggling working folk barely making it paycheck to paycheck ???
The ones making $1 too much for food stamps and other help ???
paying all their taxes and never taking vacations...
the ones who cant afford to be middle class ???
Yeah I know
Let them eat cake - King Willard Marie
I agree 100 percent! I’d feel a lot better about “strengthening America” vice just one sector of America. It gives creedence to the whole class warfare narrative.
This is good...and I think it better to stretch it out over a longer period of time rather than a shorter time frame where it’d be out of the public eye more quickly...and more quickly forgotten.
I can’t tell from the article whether Romney is going to attend any of the events himself. Do you have any information on that?
