On the heels of Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy's controversial public comments against same-sex marriage, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino fired off a letter to Cathy, urging him to abandon plans to expand the fast food chain to his city.

Today's Boss Tweed.
Keep your eye on grandstanding bloviating politicians - they're usually hiding something really big.
Exactly. Look at this article calling the CEO’s comments about supporting traditional marriage “Controversial”, oh yea in what universe is saying you believe in traditional marriage so damn controversial. These people who run Hollywood and the media are gay heavy, they are sick and just want justification to engage in behavior that is mentally ill. We are not just supposed to tolerate and not discriminate against them but we have to celebrate them and their so-called lifestyle.
I noticed he didn’t copy the Bureau of Tourism. Either celebrate our perverted ways or stay out! So every company that stays approves of perversion.
Sodom and Gomorrah aka Boston. That didn’t end well.
Even the oh-so-liberal Boston Globe doesn’t agree with Menino. A most interesting editorial.
And here I thought Bloomberg invented this pose.
Divorcing certain states and reforming this Union is quickly becoming the only path left.

Sounds like a lefty who’ll “man the barricades” and call a press conference for his part in the protests and boycotts, etc... Last time I checked, homosexuals made up about 1.5 to 3.5% of the overall population. Why do they have so much sway?
I agree. But, aside from some historic sites, there isn't anything there worth a dang anyway. I've been boycotting Boston for years and didn't know it.
Maybe 1½% at most of the population consists of these sodomites. So this Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is going to let 1½% mandate what the other 98½% of his residents can have access to. What a total and complete jackass!
And all this chain of food suppliers is guilty of is freedom of speech. Pathetic!
Screw Boston. If I want to celebrate our Country’s Founding and The Revolution I’ll spend a week in Colonial Williamsburg, VA.....Which I like to do frequently.
I gather that Hizzonner the Mayor’s lip service to the so-called Freedom Trail does not extend to corporations running their business as they see fit. Kremlin on Massachusetts Bay!
what strange times in which we live.
The term “Banned in Boston” had to do with their closing or not allowing anything of less than moral qualities.
Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sundays, out of respect for the Christian sabboth, IIRC
Yet now such an establishment is banned in Boston??
Except, of course, for discrimination against people who don't think like the Mayor does.
I would say that the mayor of Boston eats crap sandwiches, but I heard he doesn’t like bread.
I just sent an e-mail to the Mayor’s office, telling him that I’m not coming back to Boston unless there’s a Chick-Fil-A store waiting for me when I get there.
The basic liberal rule of thimb these days is: Gay is OK. Straight Ain't
August 1st is Chick-Fil-A appreciation day. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/under-god/post/chick-fil-a-appreciation-day-announced-by-mike-huckabee/2012/07/23/gJQAx6Xs4W_blog.html
I’m going to go to Chick-Fil-A for the first time - just because this letter demonstrates intolerance towards a BUSINESS.
Eat it, Menino & allies.
Is it true, do Massachusetts lobsters cause throat cancer?
I’m guessing a Rec-tum-fil restaurant will be OK in Boston
Liberal tolerance on display, coexist! Can you believe a news article that describes opposition to same sex marriage as controversial just a few years ago? What’s next, opposition to polygamy, bestiality, pedophilia is now considered to be controversial?
Methinks I’ll start something new for myself. From now on and indefinitely, I hereby designate “Tuesdays as Lunch at Chick-Fil-A Day.”
If I lived in Boston (God forbid) I’d get it to go and eat it at City Hall!
