Tongue in cheek - Stricter gun control laws wouldn’t help, but bringing back the “insane asylums” might. /sarc
Lone nut jobs are almost always not noticed as such by the people they associate with, until after they “take off” on whatever tangent has been building in them.
This guy clearly did not need a gun or guns. He had the will and the ability to use any destructive force he could get a hold of.
However, how about the 300 murderers in Chicago in the psst year? What did the stricter “gun control laws” there stop them from doing? Not a thing.
The “we need gun control” argument has no factual basis, just a larger fan club in the media and in the political class; but I think the majority of Americans are having none of it.

Well said. Has been my concern as well.

It should be illegal to murder people in a movie theater. That would have stopped him.

No it wouldn’t have. Criminals like this guy who did the shooting have their own ways of obtaining fire arms. They use them for BAD. you have to be a dope to think otherwise.

Personally, I think we need stricter laws against murder (as if that would help).

Hey, Bloomberg, why dont you BAN the Internet!! Since Bloomie (blowme) is so intent on disarming folks, I wounder why he doesn't disarm his body guards.
Or, are only self appointed elites to be permitted to have arms?

Poll asks: Would stricter gun-control laws have prevented the movie-theater shooting in Colorado? Yes or No. Yes. Requiring EVERY patron of the theater to be armed would have left the murderer shot to doll rags before he had gotten off his first dozen rounds.
