The obvious problem with the prog/commie/left is their end game is not about helping people or actually solving real problems.
They will say, or do, anything to advance or preserve their positions of power.
They make up $@%! all day long.
Global warming, green energy, green jobs, Solar Manufacturers, electric cars,gay pride, gay marriage,fairness,redistribution rights,USC as a living breathng document,limited government acutally means unlimited government, reason to confiscate guns,Spending trillions of dollars today will save us 5-10 years from now,
endless on and on.......
One could present the most reasonable argument for the private sector or limited government, or name it, and it doesn’t matter because they will make up flawed arguments and failed solutions again and again. As if they are proven winners.

I have a small business, in addition to my full-time job. My wages put me just about in the range Obama considers “wealthy” and thus subject to tax increases.
I live in a small one-bedroom apartment, I work an 80 hour week, my small business is in independent theatre and film production so, ironically, I have over the years employed many, many liberal folks. I do it because I enjoy it, and because I enjoy doing it right — paying people for their work, making sure the business is adequately insured, etc. It costs a lot, and those costs are now going through the roof and making it difficult to continue.
I have worked LIKE A DOG for what I have. And I’m going to have to stop because my costs are going through the roof and because I’m going to get slammed by a tax increase if this idiot has his way.
Bite me, Mr. President.

The last known member resided above the downtown area while I was growing up in the 70s. I’d always see him walking downtown, headed for the Colonial Cafe. Dangling a cigarette and wearing the signature black fedora with the purple band. He passed on about 20 years ago, IIRC.
Ultimately its all about who has the power to decide how resources are allocated, the government or the market. As soon as taxes are increased dramatically, it will become quickly apparent that the economy will be devastated. Obama (or insert your favorite progressive) will then issue “waivers” for who the government deems worthy. Just as it quickly became apparent that Obamacare was unworkable in the real world and Obama was forced to issue a multitude of waivers. When winners and losers are selected based on political whim rather than the discipline of the market, we all lose and we will eventually become a third rate power - which suits Obama just fine. No, damn, all these years of working 16 hour days and now to know I didn’t have to because someone else was building my business.
I didn’t have to worry about banking, cash flow, accounts receivable, getting the bills paid on time, taxes, payroll, OSHA reporting, recruiting, clients, contracts, insurance.... none of that because I didn’t build my business. Someone else did and all I got was the benefit.
I have hated this guy for as long as I’ve been aware of him. Now I resent him.
My grandfather worked in Detroit. He was a diver who went under the hulls of boats to release barrels attached to smuggle across the river. I’m assuming he did some driving as well.
Well, let’s see. I decided I wanted to be a Veterinarian way back when I was little more than a toddler. Although I received continued discouragement all along the way because I was a girl and girls were supposed to be nurses, not Doctors, I held to my goal relentlessly.
I worked hard to make good grades, and took the advanced math and science classes. I took a military scholarship with its attendant service commitment to finish college. I worked as many as FOUR jobs at a time to start and build my clinic out of NOTHING -— just a box of vaccine on the tailgate of my pick-up truck. I saved every penny, pinched every penny, invested every nickle and dime I managed to scrape together, and created a whole new personal meaning for delayed gratification.
And I am NOT alone. I know so many business owners who persevered against amazing odds to eek out their little niche in the business world and become successful by the sweat of their brow, the calluses on their hands, and their sheer determination to never, ever give up.
Now I understand that no man is an island, but give me a break. If this President thinks that the nanny state Government is responsible for the successful small businesses, created by individuals who turned dreams into reality with their bare hands, that make our Country the greatest nation in the world -— well, then he’s more delusional and out of touch than even *I* thought he was, if that is possible.
What an absurd statement..He thinks that Govt is to be credited for a well run Business’s Success??!!
What Branch of Govt under Obama’s controll has Made a profit???
The Last Govt Outlet to run in the Black was the US Post Office and that was years ago the Govt is a Giant Leach on the Taxpayers Wallet...

Apple Computer would not be in business today if it were not fot the efforts of two individuals working long,
long hours in their garage with out pay to bring their visions to market.
And even if they had paid employee’s to assist them their only partially responsible since they were paid for and directed

Great point, though I would amend it to include "progressives." I know Glenn Beck goes a little too far sometimes equating Republicans and Democrats, but he is dead on the money identifying progressivism in both parties as the source of our problems.
Obama subscribes to it takes a village to raise a business school of thought. Solyndra is a product of his it takes a village mindset.
