An Associated Press photographer finds Chief Justice John Roberts in Malta where he's spending some time after the

Don’t let him back into the US. He’s persona non-Gratia.
I guess he had his bug out bag packed and got out of Dodge to let everyone cool off. What a sell out!!
Well, the $27,000/family costs do take your breath away.
“The penalties associated with defying mandatory health care are staggering. From 2014 onwards, for every month that individuals or businesses with over 50 employees fail to carry a minimum level of health insurance, they will be hit with fines of up to $750 a month for individuals and $750 per uncovered employee for businesses. For a family of four, this could amount to a whopping $27,000 a year ($2250 a month for each household).”

I despise Chief Judicial Legislator Roberts.
Why are people even accepting this? Limbaugh, Levin mouthpieces and other cowards will never call for what needs to be done. They’d get charged with sedition or get their licenses pulled. But that will eventually happen anyway down the line.
So if the same court jesters violated the Constitution by banning free peaceful assembly before any political ruler, you would obey? Same group of court jesters rule to ban guns, it would be okay?
What’s the difference here? Clear violation of the Constitution and the edict will be ignored. It’s your DUTY. Otherwise you don’t really believe in the founding documents of this country and simply adapting to tyranny.
Despite the potentially fatal damage this has done to the Republic, I cannot but acknowledge that the Chief Justice is correct. It is not the job of the Court to save the American people from their electoral decisions.
Elections have consequences.
I am afraid I cannot look at our ignorant, obese, narcissistic, whiny, self-indulgent and apathetic population and believe that they deserve better than they are going to get.
It is simply time to reap, and there will be much death and suffering for the world as America slides into the abyss it is continuing to happily manufacture for itself.
Our people are no longer capable of self government.
Perhaps in a distant future, America will rise once more when the remnant survivors rebel in an atomic wasteland against the third or fourth generation of Chinese settlers. But history simply does not support a free people rising again from this sort of suicide.
I am glad to have seen, and lived, in the America that was. Perhaps I will live long enough to be proven wrong.
I pray to a merciful God, but our people no longer warrant that mercy.
I’m thinking that Scalia, Thomas and Alito need to hold a remedial class on the Constitution for the rest.
Have a nice vacation, Roberts, you sick piece of sh**.
Shoots America in the head and then runs away like a coward.
It seems to be a pretty good hiding place, except he told too many people where he was going.
Kind of like, he seemed like a good justice, but he was really just waiting to “evole” into a liberal so he could be fawned on by the media and have more fun at DC parties.
I hope he regrets what he did. Now the good guys hate him and the party of abortion loves him.
Have a great 4th. We will endeavor to persevere and we will get Obama-Doesn’t-Care stopped. First with waivers to every state and then a repeal.
We will never ever give up.
Cheers
Thank you for your post. Is FreedomREigns. U.S the link? And is it correct the way I spelled it?
I can’t imagine a better way to fire up the base and even those who are moderate but not stupid. We will even have a few old time (JFK type) dem voters see that this is wrong. The other dictatorial things Hussein has done added with last Thursday’s absurd ruling may just tip the scales our way even farther than before.
I also cannot wait to vote. Everyone I talk to is the same way. We are more outraged than when DeathCare was rammed through 2 years ago, and we all know what that did to the 2010 elections.
Here in WI, we elected Scott Walker as our governor. We also got rid of “lifer” (he thought) Sen.Russ Feingold and got grassroots TEA Party man Sen. Ron Johnson. We also took over the state legislature. It was a “shellacking” here in WI. If Mitt picks our Congressman Paul Ryan as VP, I believe we will win WI and in a few years, Paul Ryan will make a spectacular president.
cheers

The Democrats could not have changed Obamacare to a tax. They House is controlled by the GOP, so there is no way Congress could amend the existing bill, and the mandate is not a tax in the existing bill.
Even if you call it a tax, IT DOESN’T MATTER! The US Constitution does not grant the Government the Power to tax Inactivity.
Penalty or tax, it doesn’t matter. Roberts created law out of whole cloth. The laws does not allow the Government to tax inactivity. Well, IT DOES NOW, now that Roberts has made it a precedent GRANTING the Federal government this brand new power.
Yes, that’s it. Roberts to a “t”. Thanks.
He looks different. He looks like he realizes what he has done and that there is no going back.
I am reminded of that scene in The Patriot where the Tory shows his loyalty to the British by the burning down of a church with people inside of it. Then he realizes what he has done, and that nothing can ever redeem him.
I had no opinion either way about the posts here suggesting that Roberts has a certain “Sandusky” look but egads, *that* photo dings the creepometer.
Well at least he is getting his vacation TAX FREE. His is a continuuing legal education writeoff. Sort of ironic, isn't is? He writes off his vacation and forces an unconstitutional $1.7 trillion tax on the rest of us.
We now live in a surreal world.
After the USSC decision, why do you claim that Congress can or cannot do something because the Constitution gives specific orders?
Government can tax what it wants, if the court approves it.
This is interesting (from Wiki..but obviously from some sort of official description of Malta):
“In recent years, Malta has advertised itself as a medical tourism destination,[88] and a number of health tourism providers are developing the industry. However, no Maltese hospital has undergone independent international healthcare accreditation. Malta is popular with British medical tourists,[89] pointing Maltese hospitals towards seeking UK-sourced accreditation, such as with the Trent Accreditation Scheme. Dual accreditation with the American-oriented Joint Commission is necessary if hospitals in Malta wish to compete with the Far East and Latin America for medical tourists from the United States.”
If he frequents Malta, like other posters have said, perhaps he was doing someone else’s bidding...for you KNOW medical tourism will increase with Obamacare.
