Congressman Darrell Issa is leading the investigation into the Fast & Furious ATF scandal and his committee recommended Attorney General Eric Holder for contempt charges, but he admitted to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday today that so far, there is no evidence connecting the scandal directly to the White House and Obama administration.
Wallace played a clip of House Speaker John Boehner saying that the invocation of executive privilege is “an admission” of guilt on the part of the White House. Wallace asked Issa directly if “any evidence” currently supports the claim that White House officials were at all involved with the operation or a cover-up of any kind.
Issa said quite clearly that it doesn’t, and expressed the hope that the entire investigation stays with the Justice Department and that it doesn’t turn out later on that they were involved.

My humble belief is that a couple of idiots dreamed up this whole thing within the ATF/Attorney General’s office to start with. I doubt if they really drew out a firm plan or wrote a “end” order to have handy and quickly be able to act on the “end”.
The Bush guys walk out...the Obama team walks in. No real discussion over this program between the two. The Obama team is on automatic, and probably got a presentation or two the first month....but never paid any attention to it.
I imagine one or two guys at the operational level kept asking when to shut it down...but were continuing to get a green light. When the stuff hit the fan....everyone was standing there and asking what happened? The obvious answer is no one knew what this was to start with, and no one knew what happened when they did shut it down.
There are probably fifty people who should be removed from their positions and never allowed into law enforcement again, if the entire story was explained.

The only one who’s acting like there is a connection is Obama.

The fact that Issa has no evidence means that the coverup is operating as planned.
The Watergate coverup was going as planned also, until Judge Sirisa handed out 20 year sentences and guys started folding. Even then, it really wasn’t until some obscure FAA manager testified that Nixon had tapes of everything, that Watergate opened up.
Basically, zer0bama is more wiley than Nixon, and this scandal will never open up. For one thing, judges won’t be handing out 20 year sentences because they agree with zer0bama. For another, no one will screw zer0bama like that FAA manager because they’ll pay more than a 20 year sentence from zer0bama’s Chicago cohorts.
Have to agree. The second obama said ep, that ended the investigation. Forever. No judge is going to force the first black president to turn over any documents. Unlike Watergate, most of the media want this covered up and are doing their best to help obama cover it up. Most of the people in the country haven’t even heard of F & F because the media blackout of it has been so successful. Even if the House votes Holder in contempt, it will be drowned out and ignored by the media because they will be covering the SC’s decision on obamacare this week. If the SC announces it this week, that is. Nope. The investigation is over. Issa has gotten all he’s going to get.
In this video (link below), Deputy Attorney General David Ogden announces the Obama Administration’s new and aggressive “comprehensive plan” on March, 24, 2009. The plan was aimed at disrupting gun trafficking between the United States and Mexico.
Ogden clearly states that Project Gun Runner/Project Fast and Furious was launched under the orders of Barack Obama with the knowledge of Attorney General Eric Holder.
“The president has directed us to take action to fight these cartels and Attorney general Holder and I are taking several new an aggressive steps as part of the administrations comprehensive plan.”
Ogden then details this plans that include “fortifying project Gunnrunner which is aimed at disrupting arms trafficing,” and “specifically for facilitating gun tracing.”
