In Case You Don't Like Romney... A Challenge To Every FReeper
email from friend

In Case You Don't Like Romney...

Columnist Andrew McCarthy gives us what probably is the most important question regarding the upcoming presidential election …

“If Romney wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who may have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind:

1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78

2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year

3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August

4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago and has had cancer twice.

Whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.

If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you’re smokin’ something funky….”

So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win ... just imagine this possibility:

'SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER'

Did that get your attention!

My apologies. I hope you can understand my error.

I can understand because I make plenty of them myself. One of my biggest errors on FR was quoting my fellow South Carolinian last night to you. That was over the line. I also apologize.

one more time for all of you. Romney isn't a radical

That's just crazy talk, Lake. Of course Romney's a radical.

In just the past few months Romney has come out in support of gay couples. Worse, he thinks they should be allowed at the state level to adopt children.

Just yesterday, the Pentagon says it is observing gay pride day now that DADT is ended. What is Romney on record saying, but that he's fine with the end of DADT and if elected he won't change a thing.

He supports RADICAL restructuring of American society, and the only reason you aren't seeing it is you are thinking with all the clarity of 2012 media brainwashing instead of with the clarity that just ten years ago provided.

What would they have called a republican candidate 10 years ago who openly promoted Gay Couples, Gay Adoption, and Gays in the Military?

Radical.

My advice is that you think of where you stood on these things a dozen years ago. Perhaps, however, you are very young. If so, then it will be hard for you to gain perspective other than through listening to old timers like me.

That's strange.

I know there is at least ONE person on FR that has the same message when you try to look at their homepage; but it is FAKE!

But when the election is all down to the R vs. D, a Conservative does not spend all one’s time criticizing the R, as he does.

NO!

There are D's, and there are R's, and there are C's (conservatives).

The D's are going to vote for a big government liberal

The R's are going to vote for a big government liberal

On the other hand the C's are going to resist big government liberalism and refuse to capitulate.

And Conservatives don't spend all their time promoting big government liberals as you certainly R.

I also notice you spend a lot of time tossing about the word "troll" against people who refuse to buy into your propaganda. But, isn't the posting of this vanity thread quite similar to a trollish act in the first place?
